“I switched over to this pharmacy due to circumstance but I've had a great experience so far and plan to stay. I was able to get through to someone right away when I called and the pick up for my medication was super quick as well. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. The pharmacist asked me if I had questions and encouraged me to reach out and call if I did. The stopper actually fits into the bottle and I don't have to worry about it falling in. All of these little things really make a difference!”

I had a long shopping list that included ingredients for several recipes at my last visit and had a hard time finding everything (not too many floating employees on a Sunday), but I did manage to find everything on my list! I’m finally getting the hang of the app, self checkout and remembering to bring in my bags (not yet a habit since I’ve lived 7+ decades without needing to remember to carry in bags)!”

TL:DR - Hiring process is crap and annoying to deal with, Hispanic section is good, and their donuts are AMAZING.
Come here AT LEAST for the donuts, fr worth it.
8 of my friends (9 including me) never got any kind of response when we applied to work here, plus the managers always seemed to mysteriously unavailable to be spoken to.
I've literally called the store, got told to call back the next morning, called the next morning, "Manager on vacation" :/
when will they be back? " X date." Thanks so much.
Called back on X date, "She'll be here tomorrow morning" thanks.
Calls back tomorrow morning, "Hi, not here. Call again tomorrow morning."
At which point I came INTO THE STORE to speak with this elusive hiring manager, just to be told that they were on vacation and won't be back for a while.

So suffice to say, hiring process seems messy, outdated, unreliable, and flat out non-functional at times.
The website needs to be updated, the employees need proper customer service training because regardless of what I'm calling about, and who's answering, it's always in a tone that sounds like I might aswell be interrupting a neurosurgeon mid incision.
The only redeeming quality of this store is what it sells, and I'm not talking standard groceries.
Not only does Shoppers have a decent spread of hispanic foods, ingredients, drinks & snacks, but it's also got some of, if not THE BEST donuts you could buy from a store.
The donut chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme got nothing on SFW donuts, they got Croissant donuts (Cronuts), marble iced, Holland Creme (my favorite), jam filled, lemon pudding filled, boston creme, and of course all your standard donut types like powdered, brown sugar, plain and glazed, not to even mention some specialty ones they have on occasion like the apple pie filled brown sugar, or marbled icing cronuts.
Plus they're reasonably priced, which automatically raises the rating for me.

“This is a preferred Harris Teeter location for me. It's tucked away, has free covered parking, and this neat little wine social spot of sorts. And then all the usual fixings like a stocked sale section, recycling, fun employees, pharmacy, and so on.”

They are my go to for name brand options and other items I’m looking for last minute since they are right down the street from us!”
“A clean, well stocked local grocery store. I use online pickup every week and Juan at the online pickup counter takes amazing care of me. He is always friendly, polite, and helpful and picks great produce and meat products for me. When he isn't there, the other online pickup associates are great too. I have no particular loyalty to this giant faceless corporation, but Juan does a great job so I will be back as long as he's still there. Thanks.”

I only started shopping at the store back in March and I don't know if I have ever shopped at a grocery store where the staff has been so friendly and really seem to be happy with their job. “It's a clean store, well lit and maintained with good selection. Only drawback is that they have two entrances but they close one at dusk... and they have switched back and forth over the years so you never know which door to go to. Annoying. That's why I give it 4 stars and not 5. Currently in march of 2026 it is that main Doors under the Giant sign that are used after dark. Just FYI.”
“When I moved into this neighborhood around 15yrs ago, I was impressed by the cleanliness and friendly staff at this giant. It still is impressively clean and the staff is still extremely friendly. Whether it’s the pharmacy, the cashier, the shelf stockers or the people at the front desk…They all seem to enjoy working there. Today I -once again- noticed how shiny and clean the floors are, how neatly the shelves are stocked. Nearby is a brand new giant; much larger, more space for a bigger selection. I don’t care. I find everything I need in my neighborhood store. It might not be new or large, but it’s still shiny and has great employees.
I read some of the 1-star reviews and must say: I have never experienced any of the grievances described.”

“We had been using the Costco pharmacy in Springfield but decided to drop off a prescription at the Costco in Potomac Mills since it was more convenient. When dropping off the prescription, the person who took the prescription, Theresa, noticed that the strength of the medication was higher than previously provided so she called our physician who admitted that it was a mistake and reduced the strength. “The past reviews about wait times were valid. The system has changed and is much more efficient - wait times are now very short (usually <10 minutes). There are 2 kiosks for checking in and you are usually called up within minutes. Great service!”
