“Fly into RVA from NYC each week for client work. If anyone has ever taken or heard of Soul Cycle, this is Soul Cycle taken up a notch. After searching for spin classes around the Richmond/Short Pump area I came across this gem right off of W Broad in the Innsbrook Shopping Center. I came along with a coworker who was trying out her first time with spin. She absolutely loved it and the staff was friendly and very helpful in getting her set up for the first time. The facilities are extremely clean, amenities include clean bathrooms, showers, and lockers. The interior is brand new and as such makes for an aesthetically pleasing and welcoming/inviting experience. Inside the studio itself are ample bikes, evenly spaced with room to spare. The lighting is perfect and sets a dark but lively mood. I went for a 630am Thursday class where Mary Alex was the instructor. The workout was phenominal. As I'd previously said, this class was similar to Soul Cycle, but, definitely a bit harder of a workout. I lift regularly but even hours after this class, my arms and shoulders were pretty sore from using 5 lb weights... which actually felt more like 20 lb weights by the end of the class. Mary Alex played amazing, up-beat electronic music that helped keep your heart rate up. She's a great instructor who keeps you engaged while at the same time coming around discretely with tips and pointers to improve your technique and workout. Tidal Wheel currently offers two groupons - 10 classes for $60, or 5 classes for $40 (I believe). This is a complete steal. Had to buy the 10 classes. Highly recommend this place! “Place is super clean except for the ceiling fans. I asked them to clean them during covid and they said they are clean??? Sent email to manage just 2 weeks ago regarding this and he said they are getting buds for a cleaning service. We will see... other than this major issue..its a nice place to work out”

“I'm not sure why this planet fitness got such a bad score. The gym is huge, all the equipment is new, and the staff is very friendly. I moved from LA and I think this gym is even better than the one in LA. They also have so much more equipment like Medicine balls that I've never seen at other planet fitnesses. I'm so sad I had to move because I really do love this gym.”
