“Since coming to mcshin I have had the pleasure of meeting people that are like minded in recovery and the connections that I have made are really awesome. I now feel like I am someone that is wanted but I have found that my want for those same people to be close means something to me today.”

“Joining this YMCA might be the best decision I've made since moving to Richmond. Super clean, great pool, and everybody is so friendly, staff and members alike. I also love that I can go to any Y with my membership, has come in handy while traveling or even just checking out the other Ys in Richmond.”

“Rag & Bones offered me wonderful hospitality & experience with their expertise around bicycle mechanics from the moment I walked through the doors. They helped me get my used mountain bicycle in better//safer riding condition, giving concise explanation throughout. This Co-Op puts an emphasis on the Cooperation in Co-Op. 10/10 will come back & recommend them to anyone looking to tune up/repair their old and/or new bicycle.”

“Since joining the MBL I’ve gained access to resources I would have never known existed for a micro business like myself. I am so pleased with the results and will be coming up on my one year anniversary soon!”

“I participated in a volunteer activity at the ToolBank where we (in groups of three) built four picnic tables to be placed in the community. While I'm sure the highly skilled people running the bank could have built the same picnic table in 20 minutes that took us three hours, this was an excellent team building activity and was a lot of fun. I learned a good bit about using different tools and I felt a great sense of accomplishment at the end. They also sell kits to make the picnic tables at your own home, and then place in the community.I had no idea that the ToolBank existed, and will definitely use them for future needs for my nonprofit. I even noticed folding chairs, tables, and coolers. Will definitely use them for any and all event hosting.”

“Great place for practicing. Grass tees are always open besides the winter, understandably. Par 3 course let’s you practice most aspects of your game and the chipping and bunker practice area is great. On the driving range I do wish there were yard markers every 50 yards to get a more accurate distance of my shots.”

“Just joined and outside of the limited hours, this is a great gym. I like the hatha yoga class with Gary, and even at peak hours there's enough space to keep moving.”

“This is coming from a teen who was in the crisis unit- it’s amazing. I’ve been to many crisis stabilization units, and Saint Joseph’s by far is the best. At other crisis units, the staff just act like they’re your doctor, you mostly just sit there and watch tv, and the only thing the staff cares about is your meds. At Saint Joseph’s, is was completely different. I bonded with the staff, along with the other teenagers and children. The children and teens bonded too. The staff truly cares about how your feeling, and how they can help, they truly want what’s best for the kid, and they are the nicest most understanding people. Saint Joseph’s crisis unit actually helped me, unlike other crisis units. I highly recommend this to a teenager in need of mental health help. These people are a blessing!”

“I would like to update my review on Richmond SPCA. After a bad experience, I decided to give them another chance and try them out again. I checked two kittens I was interested in, and they were extremely helpful. The man who helped me was named Jeff, I hope that everyone gets to see this review to see how awesome his customer service was. Answered all my worries and questions, and in the end, they told me I would not need to pay for my two new kittens because they are sorry that my mother's old cat Badoon died. I felt like they do in fact care for customer service, otherwise they wouldn't do such a thing. Jeff was the star of the show, and now I have Najm and Qamar (Star, and moon). I will be going back soon again for another kitten for my mother too!.

Absolutely terrible service, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

I adopted a cat from them to give to my mom. Last week he got sick with urinary blockage (apparently a common thing with male cats right now). We called scpa they said they can help at their own clinic. When I spoke to their clinic they said they can't help since it's an emergency. Spca told me they would adopt him back and cure him and we can take him back. Waited, me and my family called daily for answers. They were supposed to call us back and they never did, whenever we'd call them they'd just say they'll call us back. No matter how urgent we sounded, and worried. On Sunday morning, my mom's cat passed away after having a painful screaming session, he put his head on her lap and passed away. So I blame scpa fully for his death, I'm never going back there again. They let us down so bad when they could have cured him the first time we spoke to them a week ago.

Badoon the orange cat is now dead thanks to scpa. My whole family is deeply affected by his passing. I attached a picture of him for memory.”

“Purchased a dishwasher, new in box for a third of cost. They have used everything too. Doors, cabinets etc and all kinds of household items and appliances. Tools, paint, flooring. But if you see it buy it! Too great a price to hold out. Never know what you might find.”
