“You know I've gone in here a few times just to browse, this time though I went in and ordered a large onion ring. Got the bill and thought this must be a sad amount of onion rings for the price of under 5$ which anywhere else would get you maybe 5-6 wet not so great onion rings. For just around 5$ got a soda and paid for the rings, walked over to the counter and a nice lady cook greeted me with a warm hello. She tossed in 20 large onion rings in a to-go container and handed them to dumbfounded me by the shear weight of the box. Are they good you're probably wondering? The best more like it, perfectly fried outside with a crispy crunch and soft fully cooked onion inside still juicy so be warned if you eat fast like me. The outside of the ring isn't going to leave your mouth in pain after either. Probably will never go anywhere else for a good box of onion rings. 10/10 highly recommend.”

“Quaint country store in the hills above Bassett. Besides the many grocery selections, they also serve burgers & fries or hot sandwiches from the grill. Very informal, no seating. A good stop for whatever you might need, even gas. Friendly proprietors are locals who know the area and just about everyone who stops in. Highly recommend this place. Because I don't go Grocery shopping but Twice a month I'm Disabled and it is hard for me to do the simple things like I used to be able to do and it's been Hard for me to Except that I'm not Able to get out of the house Since the Stroke in March that almost took my life but Thank God ? every day I wake up to live another day!! Today October 5th 2023 the store is....As of Yesterday February 27,2024 this food Lion keeps getting better with the cleanliness of the store and as aways almost every visit when I'm finished shopping there's always a smiling face waiting to check out my groceries and I don't have to wait in a line that means alot to me as I am disabled.”

They have a refrigerated and frozen food section, along with all the other usual dollar store stock. Store was clean and neat.
