After considering several contractors, I chose My Kitchen for three bath remodels, and the overall experience was good with beautiful results. The design staff provided helpful and welcome guidance. For example, when I was eyeing a bright white cabinet, Nomi noted that my home was full of ivory and cream tones and recommended a champagne white that worked out perfectly. “Dan and his team are truly amazing to work with! “In 2024, Moss B&D built an addition of about 680 ft2 over our garage and Family Room. They worked with us to design the addition, with attention to fixtures and livability issues with lots of suggestions and a 3D house model for comparison. The addition was a large bedroom with vaulted ceiling, wood floors, picture window with overhead accent window, two walk-in closets, a small office/nursery room, a large bathroom with toilet, walk-in shower, air jacuzzi tub, and counter with 2 nice sinks. This required a supporting beam above the garage, and a number of other fixes to the family room to comply with Fairfax code. The addition has a separate HVAC system which allows better than one degree F control for the bedroom.
Electrical contractors were extremely helpful, adding a sub-panel for the addition, as well as many suggestions for convenience, etc.; including extra outlets for the garage (not all in the contract) and suggestions for lighting (indirect and direct for the vaulted ceiling bedroom).
My spouse LOVES the bedroom and closets (we had the walk-in closets fitted with a high-end Elfa system so we don't need chest of drawers or dressers- technically a separate job from this; but included in the design stage)- But her love for the bathroom is closer to ecstatic. A year later she continues to tell me she loves the bathroom at least once a week. It's a major win.
As with ANY large project there were touchups and minor corrections (such as added insulation on pipes in a hidden crawlspace) needed after the job was completed (even a couple we didn't see for as long as a 10-11 months). There were a few 'home fixes on the contract that were in the agreement; but not part of the addition, such as a new whole house water shutoff, quarter turn valve that they needed to be reminded of. However, Moss expedited every one of those without complaint or delay.
We've had bathrooms renovated and added, kitchens renovated and walls moved before in other homes. This was by FAR the best experience we've had with any construction. We will use them again.
The cost was in line with what we expected (we expected about $5-600/sq ft in Falls Church VA; we feel we did very well (about $425/ sq ft!) on this project, since we included significant HVAC plumbing, electrical and other costs.
All the workers were courteous, fairly on time with estimated arrival times, etc. The only delay was due to items that were shipped incorrectly; and none of the delays (again, we expect some) were delivery issues with vendors we specified; and none exceeded 2- weeks. Shockingly, for me, they finished only 2 weeks later than the estimated completion date. And that was only some minor issues that did not affect our use of the space.”

Since this was our first time undertaking remodeling work, we were initially nervous about finding a reliable, competitively priced contractor, but Manex exceeded all our expectations.

We had a small space that we wanted to maximize utility, light and still be a cute and warm space. “- The shop is not very large, about the size of a single deep shophouse unit, with a parking area located in the courtyard directly in front.
- The interior features a wide variety of tiles displayed in different corners; in particular, I found some tile model here that I couldn't find at any other stores.
- On the day I visited (Jan 19, afternoon), there were 2-3 staff members available to answer questions immediately without having to wait in a queue.

- A female staff member named Colleen provided excellent service and assistance. I went to the shop looking for a specific tile and brought a sample with me. I consulted her, and she helped check the stock information. When it turned out the item was out of stock, she went further by recommending similar alternatives, walking me through various samples in the shop, and providing many useful tips. I would like to express my thanks to her again through this review.”

“We had a $50k+ kitchen remodel. I would use Cyrus again, absolutely. Quoted timeline was 6-8 weeks. Took 8 weeks 1 day and that includes a couple snow storms. I have heard timeliness is a big problem amongst contractors and everyone is impressed Cyrus finished on time. The guys who did the work were all professional and respectful. We passed inspection first time. Farzan was responsive. When I wanted something in particular, like a small change to the plan, sometimes I had to push but he got it done. Price was fair for the work. Initial cost estimate was accurate.”

We hired DMV kitchen and bath to open our kitchen by removing a wall and installing a bar height countertop and cabinets. Despite the job being smaller than a full remodel, Ivan quoted me a fair price and worked with my wife and I to select materials from their showroom. I only had a few minor concerns with the job (the vent hood was too low and an outlet wire needed to be concealed), and Ivan responded quickly and his crew resolved the issues just as fast.
