Pork lion ground and made sausage and beef ground and made patties and bagged the rest. Stocked for several months. Also great for other bulk items.”
“Great grocery store - 2 locations that serve Lynchburg (old forest road and wards rd) and both are usually clean (although aisles get stocked during business hours so sometimes carts are in the way). Good selection, always great pricing, staff is always helpful in letting you know where something is located or when the next truck will be making their delivery (some of their unique items sell out quickly). checkout is always quick (best scanner of any grocery store around). Store hours close at 8 which means you might miss out on being able to go there later at night.”

“I ordered fresh flowers in the bulk for my wedding. There was a little mix up in the order but I was able to get a hold of floral team member named Evaline. She was on top of everything and so helpful with my order! She was very quick to respond to emails and very accommodating. The flowers arrived a few days before the event. The boxes come with directions and care for the flowers. We took them all out and trimmed them, let them hydrate, and then the very next day they all were open and just stunning! I recommend getting your flowers in 2 days before an event, that way they have time to hydrate and bloom. I ordered about 80 garden roses, a whole bunch of greenery, and a gorgeous greenery garland. So impressed with the condition and beauty of these flowers. We spent way less in comparison to a florist. I highly recommend this place!”

“Good prices. Even better discounts if you have a Kroger Plus card. Normally you save $0.03 a gallon on every purchase. It's the most convenient gas station if you stop at Kroger on a regular basis. The only problem I can think of is they don't have diesel fuel at this particular Kroger location.”

“We love this Kroger primarily because of the staff. My husband is a star at this location and knows just about everyone by name. They are kind and loving to my toddler son and the help in every department has always been stellar. I use self check-out exclusively, but often need assistance and never wait more than a minute to get it. I am very comfortable here as it is in my neighborhood and I'm familiar with the lay out--my review is based on my comfort. While the Forest location offers far more variety in produce, etc, I am satisfied with this Kroger because of the convenience. They offer enough selection of a few things that are mandatory for me: organic produce and gluten-free frozen/packaged foods. From time to time I use the pick-up and delivery options from Kroger and that has also been a pleasure. They have called before replacing items that are not in stock. The one time I had an issue, I was offered a gift card for the inconvenience. It may be because I am blessed by the Universe, but every time I park there I get a space right by the cart return. I have lost my wallet there twice and both times the staff have retrieved it and held it for me. This speaks to their honesty and the honesty of the customers who shop there (and also my favor by the Universe...).Right now there's a lot of construction for the gasoline pumps so it can be crowded and congested. There's been a lot of upheaval because of this--people don't like it. I zero care about it because I can go to the grocery store early and I'm typically not in any hurry to shop. But if you're rushed for time, it may cause some hang-ups.”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
