“Seen them on Tik tok and wanted to stop in to try them. The owner is very kind and will help explain anything you ask questions about. Staff is very welcoming and makes sure you're taken care of. The food was amazing. This was my first time trying Phillipine food. Will definitely return.”

“Friendly service that speaks English lots of tobacco products that she was from lots of drinks and snacks to choose from smoking paraphernalia and tobacco paraphernalia products there is no gas pump here it is not as great of a store as it was back in my youth before it was sold back then you could get fireworks and all sorts of goodies here it's pretty much standard store with your average needs for a convenience store”

“This is a local family owned store. They have a wide selection of take home items such as beverages, canned foods, paper goods, automotive products, frozen foods, ice cream, cleaning products, automotive items, snack foods, and a great selection of produce, and local made jams and preserves. They also offer Shell gasoline, Tobacco products, VA state Lotto, Beer, and a great selection of Wine. They have a Deli, and hand dipped Ice Cream, a Taco Bell and Pizza Hut side of the store. They offer their neighborhood a local place to pay utility bills, and purchase money orders. In addition to this services they have seasonal services such as on the back side of the property are Green houses open during Spring and Summer offering flowers, shrubs, and vegetable plants. In October they offer a pumpkin patch in the front yard, and in December they have Christmas trees in the front yard. They are open seven (7) days a week, normally 6:30am to 10:30pm. The restrooms are large and always kept clean and well stocked, you can tell the family knows the importance of clean restrooms for their customers. This is a wonderful family owned business. The family serves the neighborhood wonderfully and we are lucky to have them.”

“I've visited this adorable country store located right off Highway 81 near Troutville, Virginia many times. They have CLEAN gas pumps (believe it or not), and a terrific gift area, as well as the usual food, groceries and beverages. I've bought gifts for friends here for years thanks to the excellent variety of items procured by the owner. She always has some lovely serving pieces, placemats, napkins, cards, garden flags, and now, vintage kitchen, glassware, and gift pieces she's selected from antique stores. They have both seating indoors and on the porch. There's room to walk your dog and a special receptacle for poo bags. It's a place well worth stopping for.”
“This is a good store. Unique as it has pOpshelf items in it. It was clean, but not well staffed or well stocked. Wide aisles and very spacious. I wish there was one of these nearer to me.”
“For something small and quick this is a place. To stop and grab it most times they have just about everything that you need sometimes they don't but most times they do and the people are always friendly so that helps when they dont”
“It's not a bad place to shop. They usually have what I need. One thing is I worked here for about 3 months. It's been about a year since. So many people get rehired after not working there for years. But then I got accused of stealing when I did not. So I got fired (falsely terminated) all because my now ex decided to steal. And they rehire after 6 months of someone being fired but when I move directly across the street they can't rehire me.”
“The guy at the register had an attitude problem and was very slow. It's like he didn't even know how to work the machine.Update: they now have someone at the register so self checkout is an option instead of the only option. The person at the register was pleasant, competent, and had a much better attitude than I did when I wrote the first review about self checkout.”

“I like this $ General because its conveniently located in Montvale for if you just need to run and grab a few things and don't want to have to run all the way to Bedford or Bonsack Walmart just for a couple of items. They have a good selection of products as well. Pretty much anything that u could possibly need on a regular day, they have at a reasonable price. I also love their " Dot Deals", where a certain color dot is half off or BOGO, especially on the toys during X~Mas time. I like to buy my son items other places than just Wal-Mart so he has a variety of toys and not just the same old stuff over and over that Walmart has. Don't get me wrong, I like Walmarts toys as well, but once u have bought everything that is in your child's age range, gender and interests, they don't really get new stuff in, where as $ General does, and especially during X~Mas time.”
