“The facility that I keep my stuff at in Richmond Virginia has taken care of my storage and incredibly well the manager of the facility has been very responsive to any type of questions I have and it's help me out with lowering my bill seeing how I pay every month on time with no questions no late fees or nothing but to find out that extra storage company itself is trying to get the most out of me.. But the manager of the facility and the people that work there are just incredible I recommend this facility”
“Storage units are storage units but the staff at life storage are top notch. They go out of their way to communicate with you and assist with questions or concerns. Once we left something outside our unit by accident and they picked it up and kept it in the office for us - and took the time to call us to tell us they had it.”

“Alex was amazing. My home had water intrusion and a storage this was a last minute need for my family. I had never rented a storage space and was concerned about hidden fees or being scammed like I had read and heard about from others. Alex talked me through everything, helped me stay on top of move out dates and when best to alert the staff of moving plans. They also reviewed if I needed extra dates what the rates would be so I was aware of all my the fees that would meet my needs. The facility was clean and safe. “Blue and Gray is a family controlled environment. Honestly and morality are number one in the running of the storage facility. As a long term renter running a business I was faced with rent changing from month to month at competitors storage groups such as life Storage or Extra Space.( both the same company). Once lured in by big discounts if staying more than a 2 month period your rent can almost double at these facilities.
Promises of a low cost continued for several months told by commissioned on site managers is an untruth told by all facility managers (corporate cashiers). It is far from the truth. I got tired of the fight to keep my rent low having to renegotiate every month. Sometimes having to re-rent and move to another storage building to keep my rent low at the facility. At Blue and Gray the managers live on site and are not controlled or commissioned by a corporate office in some other state. At Blue and Gray you meet real people who are there to help - not corporate commissioned managers that have no real control.
Out of all in the Midlothian, Chesterfield VA area Blue and Gray gives a rental agreement and sticks with it. No yo-yo billing or confusion on what your next bill will be.”

“Rented a space online for some extra savings. Was notified when the space was ready and a lock was left inside for my use. The app makes entering and leaving easy. The use of a computer interface in the office was interesting, but having a live person help was great. And an in town person called right away to offer any extra needed assistance. All in all, a great experience starting our rental.”
“There was adequate space in the unit and it was very clean. The manager was very helpful and pleasant. She made the move easy and stress-free. However, I hope you guys address the temperature because it was close to 90 degrees in the facility when I moved my things in. That aside, I'm pleased.”

Impressive from the start! When I started my search for a storage facility affordability safety and convenience where top on my list. My initial call was friendly and proffesional, Antoinette was charming, helpful and accomodating. I specifically inquired about a spot with easy access to loading and unloading and she helped to find me a great spot. Upon my arrival she was welcoming and ready to show me a good first impression, she directed me and quickly met me at my storage area. This facilty is immaculately clean and as promised she provided a room with easy access, I was impressed. Antoinette mentioned that a moving truck would be available at no charge provided that my move in date was not already booked..... at that time it was not available therefore throwing a wrench in my plans. Since i had to change my plans i started to move small things in my vehicle, when Antoinette saw me she quickly informed me that the use of the truck had been cancelled and that i was welcome to use it...Woohoo!!
The following week after move in I had placed items that i had on sale that a buyer was coming to pick up. I did not feel comfortable meeting alone and I reached out to Antoinette, she asked me what time I would be there and she would meet me. When i arrived she was already there waiting for me and the buyers.....door open and cart ready in the event that we needed it.
Antoinette, kudos to you for your outstanding personality and amazing customer service. In general your willingness to help and be a kind person is a breath of fresh air. I wish all encounters and experiences with the public were as flawless.
