“My reservation was cancelled with the previous location and I was sent to another one but it was only for a time I couldn’t pick it up. I came to the Monticello location and spoke with Ms. Robin. The reservations that was made as far as how long I needed the truck and the size was not at this location and the cost was way more than what I was told when I spoke with the 800uhaul representative. I became furious because I already had movers waiting on me and nothing was going the way I had set it up. I was ready to walk out and Ms.Robin told me to come back and pray she told me to call the 800uhaul and have them correct it. She was really patient with me even though I was beyond upset. Everything got resolved and Ms. Robin and Brandie got me out the door with the U-Haul truck. I’m really thankful for Ms. Robin, moving is a lot of work and with the way things was going, she kept me calm and was really nice about it. Thank you Ms. Robin and Brandie!”

“Update 6/19/2025- changed 1 star to 4 after very responsive call from manager at the store. Although the overall experience that day was still bad, she extended very good customer service in calling me after I complained to the regional office, explaining she WAS trying to find me a truck that day regardless of what the other guy said (though she and I miscommunicated and I did not understand that at all or wouldn’t have left and spent a couple of hours finding another rental). WILL use this location again as I definitely had good experiences before but mainly because she extended very good customer service afterwards.

5/31/3025: Came here for years, will not again. After a reservation yesterday and standing in line 45 mins, 6th in line, app not working, was told no truck because people hadn’t returned on time. I was calm, just suggested to the guy that when they have a long line, make an announcement or ask every now and then who has reservations or not and for what size truck, so you can tell the people to go, no truck available. He couldn’t even hear that, so stressed; waited to talk to other counter lady to hear me before I left. The one guy stayed kind of edgy and stressed sounding even with her while we waited in line; won’t be back to this location.”

“We had a hitch receiver installed at this location. We made an appointment online. When we arrived they were expecting us and took the car right away. They indicated it might take an hour to complete, but the car was ready in about 1/2 hour. Installation cost was very reasonable.”

“I like the text notifications letting me know when my delivery is coming. My delivery technician was very thorough and seemed to know his job. He was also thoughtful & careful not to put ruts in our damp ground due to all the rain. That means a lot!”

“This place has been around since I was little. It's located off of Tidewater Drive next to Naas Bakery. There is generous parking & they are adhering to the Covid social distancing guidelines. It's a small store, but it has a lot to offer. We just went there the other day for bulbs, but they have all kinds of other hardware items. They make keys and cut glass too. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but it was 30 mins before closing time. Maybe they were just ready to go home. The store served its purpose for us, so I won't complain.”
