I don't know what their deal was, maybe they were trying to convince me to go through insurance so they could price gouge them. When I mentioned I had State Farm they immediately started complaining about how State Farm fights about every line item, which causes the whole process to take months to resolve.Anyway, CARSTAR was totally the opposite. They gave me a much more reasonable estimate - $1800 and one week, which was exactly accurate. Since the estimate was much lower I decided to not even involve State Farm and just pay out of pocket. The work was excellent and the communication on point throughout the process.”

They knew we would be back, and they were right.We drive our cars for a long time. CCARS understands this, and any recommendations that they make are clearly explained as "must do now" vs. "should consider doing at some point".When a gasket started going on our 15 year old minivan, they were honest with us that a lot of things on the engine would begin failing in succession, and they sent us to a different repair shop more ready to handle that. We decided to rebuild the engine and replace "every gasket, belt, and hose" in the entire engine which cost "more than the van was worth", but we are still driving it 6 years later. “Robby is a old school honest mechanic, however intune with today's tech. From truck suspension, to normal maintenance he is your guy. I had a family member visiting from Texas and a ball joint needed replaced. He made time that day to get it done. Very reasonable price, also not afraid to say he can't do the job (not just after the money). My truck needed a transmission repair, though we didn't do the repair at his shop, he provided me another shop let me drop his name. I cannot to saying great things about this establishment.Also his wife is great and easy to work with, she is direct and keep things moving, however I think she is the engine for this business.”
