Always amazing, colorful, fresh local produce, protein and provisions. Tasty and healthy food. Great cafe. Amazing store culture. The most pleasant grocery shopping experience for a reviewer who isn’t even a huge fan of grocery runs.

Fresh, organic produce. Best bulk section including olive oils, honey, dry goods, granola, nut mixes, as well as soaps, shampoo, you name it! AND you can get eggs in bulk and reduce packaging. OMG.

They might be pricey on some things but I love their vegetarian and vegan options in their grab and go section. They have a delightful selection of craft beers from all around. And a really nice selection of all kinds of veggies in their produce area. It's a special treat when I run in when I'm in the area
Ellwood Thompson’s is Richmond’s independently owned, organic and local market since 1989. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner that is made from scratch in-house with locally sourced ingredients. And by locally we mean a 100-mile radius from our store, as the crow flies. Come check out our dining/event space called The Beet Cafe. We brew local coffee daily and offer fresh juices and smoothes. Our customers can enjoy local beer, wine and cider while they eat their meal in house. We are open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., located at the top of Carytown.
