“I had the privilege of stopping and shopping in this beautifully decorated, stocked with goodies and delightful rarities gift shop while visiting from NYC. It reminded me of an exquisite boutique that would be in Fifth Avenue but with the warmth, and kindness of a “mom and pop” shop from the owner, Allison. Highly recommend visiting and making a purchase of a unique or classy item.”

“Visited the museum for the first time, specifically to see the Dawoud Bey: Elegy exhibit. The immersive experience was challenging and thought provoking. While there, I took to the opportunity to enjoy the rest of the room and the cafe. I look forward to visiting again and absorbing all the museum has to offer. A note of caution, if you have gait or mobility issues, be mindful of crossing thresholds. Some of them are raised and not marked to indicate so.”
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company! I ordered a custom gift basket for my mother-in-law while she’s been in the hospital, and the entire experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish.
Their customer service was exceptional. They made the customization process so easy and truly listened to what I wanted. They helped me create something thoughtful and personal, and I never felt rushed or like I was asking too much.
What meant the most to me was the extra care and compassion they showed. They knew my mother-in-law was sick, and that I was also dealing with being sick myself while caring for my sick baby, and they went above and beyond to make the process stress-free. She even sent me pictures so I could see what our custom basket looked like knowing I’m states away. Their kindness genuinely made a hard time feel a little lighter.
The basket was delivered quickly, beautifully put together, and exceeded my expectations. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the people receiving their gifts.
I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a meaningful, high-quality gift with outstanding service. Thank you for making such a difference during a difficult time!”

“This is my absolute favorite place to shop in all of Richmond! There are so many talented local artists that sell their goods in this shop. There is also an excellent mix of vintage and antique items. I could literally spend two hours in this shop just browsing. The owner, Anne, is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Nanette, who also works there, is so kind and welcoming every time I visit. What Anne has done to support the local art community, is so commendable. You can tell she truly cares about every artist that is in her shop.”

“The SpiderShop has a very friendly and accommodating staff and all of the items any University of Richmond fan could want! I love following them on Instagram and seeing all the cool new products they have to offer because they're always adding new items! I also love the fun events they occasionally host such as coffee with a cop or the gaming event they hosted back in March. I took a crocheted spider named Waldo to visit the store for a student newsletter I write for and they were kind enough to show me around and help me take photos. Whether you're shopping for game day apparel, gifts/clothes for the little ones, or souvenirs to remember UR, the SpiderShop has you covered!”
“Absolutely love this place! I've shopped here for years but our experience yesterday was worth sharing. I took my mom out for her first shopping trip post a major surgery. It was the first pretty spring day so everyone was out and the store was packed. Despite the crowds, the owner treated us like we were the only people in the store. Never frazzled, going out of her way to help us find items that we were looking for and making calls to other locations to track down a shirt that my mom wanted. The service that we had yesterday will keep us coming back for years to come! Kudos to you all and thank you!”

Lots of Scout bags, Yeti products, college items, clothing, jewelry, leather bags, yard decor, etc, plus they have the cutest gift wrapping available complementary. They also do a great job with monogramming! Definitely pricey, but high-end, quality merchandise.”

“This is one of my favorite businesses in RVA! The owners are so nice and thoughtful. We have purchased many oddities from here and are always super satisfied with the quality. We recently had a snafu with one of our items, and they sent a replacement (as this happened to be an item where replacements were available.) They went above and beyond and sent a variety of options to ensure that we were satisfied with it! Businesses do not have to be thoughtful with their customer service, but you will find that here at RIP!”
