“I had lunch here with a group of 60+. The staff was excellent - friendly, competent. The interior is beautiful and perfect for a group gathering. The exterior is getting a little sad, though - a hole in the front screen door, peeling paint. It's still a very nice place.”

“My husband and I had our wedding reception here last weekend and we were so pleased with how it turned out. Hannah Martin catered to all of our many requests with such a calming demeanor. We had a large wedding and could not find a venue that would comfortably fit everyone along with the other vendors and decor that come with weddings. Charter Hall ended up being the perfect size customized to our wants and needs with guests stating they did not feel crammed. We rented out the second floor for cocktail hour live music and the third for the main reception hall. Hannah was so helpful throughout the months long process of planning a wedding and went above and beyond to make our day memorable and smooth sailing. Thank you Hannah!”
“Let’s go Dawgs! We just started going to games this season and it has been so much fun. The food is expensive, but if you get food from the concession stand that sells the 611 burger, it’s worth the price for what you get. $40 for two huge burgers and fries and a refillable cup is cheaper than going to McDonald’s nowadays. I highly recommend getting the souvenir cups and popcorn buckets if you plan to go to more games. You get discounted refills with them. We usually eat somewhere before the game and then get popcorn and drinks at the game. The facility is nice. Bathrooms clean. They have discounted beer before the puck drops at this one bar area. You get two beers at a steep discount if you are in line before the cutoff. Jerseys and merch are pricey, but that’s what pays for the teams’ equipment. Tickets are surprisingly affordable for any seat. Family friendly with kids events. The team supports local youth hockey and other activities. They do a lot of volunteer work when they aren’t on the ice. Diesel and Daisy are awesome. The Dawg Pound are seriously the best fans. Clear bag policy. You can bring in sealed water bottles. I suggest wearing a hat and jacket because it is chilly. I usually just wear my jersey over a long sleeve and a beanie and it’s pretty warm. There is a parking fee to park at the berglund center. They also offer a shuttle service from another parking area. I’m not familiar with that, but it’s posted on the berglund center site. These guys are such a great team and I’m glad we have them in our area.”

My room was spotless, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the quiet atmosphere was exactly what I needed to recharge. Its convenient location right off the highway made it the perfect road trip stop.”

“This was a very nice hotel. You walk in and see beautiful lights a huge open area with a bar/small restaurant! The 4th floor did not have ice but we went down to the first for it. Our only complaint would be that the very cheap bed frame had a crack and flattened like a pancake when laid on. I would however recommend this hotel! Everything else was great. Even installed new carpet while we were here.”
“My friends and I have been staying at this Hyatt Place for a week, every October for the last three years. For the last two, the hotel has been in various states of renovation. My wife and I stayed here last week and everything is done! The place looks great and everything is fresh, clean and new! The lobby and breakfast area has a cleaner, less-cluttered look with all new furniture. The rooms are immaculate, with all the tile and fixtures in the shower sparkling. The mattress was fantastic - very comfortable! And the staff here is always lovely and accommodating. I highly recommend this location not only for it's quality, but also for it's proximity to the mall, stores, restaurants, downtown Roanoke, I-81 and the Blue Ridge Parkway. This place is ideal! 👌”
