“Staff was nice. Had an issue with the AC in thr middle of the night. They came and fixed it immediately. Very nice atmosphere. They are going thru renovations. But not too noticeable.”

“Great service and cocktails. Wish they had more gluten free selections for food. Luckily though there was an appetizer perfect that I could eat with my cocktails for my friend and I. I will definitely go back ! It is so lovely and fun !”

“This was an amazing experience! My husband and I came down for the Zach Williams concert and stayed here at the King George Inn. The house is absolutely beautiful and amazing! Loved the detail! Jack was so friendly and recommended good places to eat as we had never been to Roanoke before. The room was clean, the sheets were so soft, and the bathroom was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. And Jack made a DELICIOUS breakfast! I feel horrible because his friend was there helping and I can't remember her name but the hospitality was unmatched. Anything we needed and they didn't hesitate. The conversation was lovely and it just felt so homey to be there. Highly recommend and hope to go back some day! Thank you Jack and Jack's friend!”

“Stayed here in the Captain's Office room, had a great time and really enjoyed the room and ambiance. Great location to hit downtown, but also very quiet. The common area was amazing as well with lots of room and seating. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had.”

“Should have included breakfast for the price. My own mistake not verifying, but generally if you have a pool and hot tub, there would definitely be breakfast. There was breakfast available for an additional fee, and not really a modest one.”

“We have been staying here for a week and everything has been perfect. Our room was clean. Breakfast was good. They have laundry. And the best thing about our stay has been the hospitality. The front desk agents have been nothing short of wonderful. We have a baby in the NICU and they have all checked on her and offered encouraging words that helped us stay positive. I definitely recommend that you stay here. Thank you all so much for the wonderful service!”

“First the negative side of the review. This is a nice hotel but a few things bothered me. Our room was late for check in and I'm told the suites are always cleaned last. I am fine with that but your own check in hours are 3PM. I can only imagine how bad ingress or egress might be here in snowy or icy weather. The road coming in off Electric Ave is steep and windy. They really parked this hotel up a very tall man made hill. Nice views if you have the right room. Twice I started turning into the back lot when cars came around from the front too fast and almost hit me. I learned to accelerate quicker into here but it's a sharp turn so you have to be careful. Come nighttime on our first night I found the back entrance was still unlocked. This was after 8PM where anyone could enter. Security for all guests and employees dictate these doors should be locked come nightfall. Minor thing but my background lets this bother me. But this hotel wins the award for having two of the slowest elevators known to mankind and even an employee laughed when I joked about it. They said they were horrible to deal with. The good: The staff were all friendly to include the breakfast area folks. The cook had a great sense of humor and seemed truly happy. Standard HGI breakfast meaning you can get full here if you want. The views from our 5th floor room were excellent. Roanoke has grown so much that it is kind of sad to see all the lights, restaurants, stores and so on from this view but the views of the mountains were excellent. We would stay here again. Attached is the sunset looking from our room.”

“We Loved the Hotel. Parking is an issue but after knowing to use Town Parking all sorted. Breakfast was exactly what we needed as we were travelling. Could have Valet Parking if could justify charge. Staff were very helpful. The Hotel is right in the centre of town, Close to shops and Restaurants.”

“This is a very nice hotel, clean, very comfortable and located just a block away from a nice shopping mall and many good restaurants. We had no problem with noise or anything else for that matter. I loved that our room had a big, very clean bathtub. Standard hotel breakfast but food was good. Very generous coffee options in the lobby, including a great cappuccino machine. Our room had a larger than usual fridge and a microwave. Bed was so comfortable. The room wasn’t as attractive as others we’ve seen but It was very clean and comfortable and the furnishings were in excellent condition. And, the hotel had a really lovely heated enclosed pool just off the lobby, perfect for a frigid January night. We will definitely put this on our list of preferred travel hotels.”

No entry without confirming with you.Walkability: Close by everything Walmart, dollar tree all types of restaurants, gas stations near me close to every thing.Food & drinks: Tons of restaurants and food spots close by”

“This hotel is very close to Roanoke Airport which is very convenient for the frequent flyers . The rooms are nice and spacious and have everything you need . The hotel also has a laundry room with several machines . All the employees seem to be very friendly . Only problem we had was the air conditioner in the room . We stayed in the winter months and our room was still hot with the air on. We did request for maintenance to look at it and the young lady at front desk stated she would let them know . Not sure if she was tired or what but she really didn’t seem too enthused and needless to say maintenance never showed that day . As for the cleanliness of the rooms I have seen worse but I’ve also seen better . Overall the room was clean except for the rotten apple we found laying in floor behind the curtain . Overall our stay was comfortable and relaxing but housekeeping does need to touch up on the training a little bit .Walkability: Can walk to several businesses . Ollie’s , Dollar Tree and the mall is across the street . Wonderful location”

“Haven’t stayed here, but I’ve visited the restaurant/bar a few times. The one thing bringing me back is Stevie, the bartender. She’s amazing! The service is impeccable, and she’s super friendly.”

“Had a pleasant experience here on my way down South. The room was clean and the A/C worked wonders during the summer heat. Definitely recommend if you need a room in the Roanoke area!!”

“Front desk staff is very nice and helpful. The room was fairly nice. The bathroom is a little cramped and the carpet needs to be stream cleaned. But still nice room for the cost.”

“Spent one night here. The room we stayed in was huge. Everything looked clean except for the one rolling chair that sits at the desk, it had a bunch of different stains on it. There was a full sized fridge and full sized microwave in the room, including a dishwasher. The breakfast was pretty good but it kind of fell short compared to other hotels breakfasts. It was nice to make my own waffle at least. The only thing I didn't like was the elevators. The elevator made weird noises and would just stop randomly. Got on it once and pressed 3. Elevator went up to 3 and stopped. The door never opened and then the elevator went back down to 2. There was a sign that was posted February 7th that the pool was out of order. I stayed on the 22nd so 3 weeks and pool is still out of order? Wasn't really planning on swimming anyway but still kind of disappointing.”

“Made an unplanned stop here on a long car trip to rest. The only thing more surprising than the super rate we were given was the size of the room and the quality of the amenities for the price. I'd expect to pay considerably more for accomodations like this. The night manager was kind enough to offer an extra hour past normal checkout for extra sleep time. Great experience.”

“We were recently in Roanoke for Thanksgiving and chose this hotel due to its proximity to the mall and our children's homes in Roanoke. Super budget friendly and they honored my request for a govt/military discount. Room was super spacious and had a sep living area with a fold out bed/couch. Very clean and had way more than what we had hoped for or expected. My wife and I slept well on the mattresses and the beds were super comfy! Friendly front desk staff and housekeeping personnel. The dining area and breakfast (included) were over the top. Waffles, eggs, sausage, pastries, cereal, juices, teas, etc. I even commented to my wife that the coffee was decent for hotel coffee. No elevator if you happen to have mobility issues. We did not check out the workout facility, but I saw the sign. We actually returned for a one-night stay after our initial two-night stay on our way back to Tampa.”
