“THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I WILL PURCHASE MY GAS. EVERYONE IS SO POLITE, & FRIENDLY. ALWAYS HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT POSITIVE, HAPPY EXPERIENCES WHEN VISITING HERE. KEEP UP THE WONDERFUL WORK.”

“Helpful, lots of stuff to buy lottery. Gas of course. 4 stars for the bathrooms, need major cleaning and repair. Not everyone needs to use a bathroom at an off highway gas place so thus only one star removed.”

“this is a fairly new, clean convenience store. most seem to have pizza these days, and this one is no exception. it's difficult to choose pizza though, when there is a which wich right next door. this is very convenient to 81, making it a quick stop.”

“I moved close to this store back in March, and let me tell you, the owners are some of the nicest and most kindhearted people I’ve ever met! The gentleman always has a smile on his face, says hello, and asks how you are. I genuinely look forward to seeing both of them. I go in to work at 6:30am each day and usually make a stop there before hand. You can count on it that he or she will be there from open until close with those smiles and kind words every single day! They work extremely hard!! I’ve overheard them help customers when they’ve been in a bind without hesitation. Im not talking about a regular, but someone that was traveling through. The world needs more people like this, those rare gems! Even if I were to move tomorrow, I would drive out of my way for some friendly covo and to support their business!! Thanks to you both for BEING THE GOOD!! You are appreciated! -Selena Carter-”

“GB is the BEST gas station and convenience store in Salem! I go here regularly and they are always kind and welcoming to everyone coming and going. Always patient with their customers and get you in and out quickly and conveniently. They treat every child that comes thru their doors like their own, offering them treats and high fives and kind words. For a locally owned convenience store they are amazing!!! So thankful to have such an awesome place for gas and snacks!!”

“This was the nicest sheetz I have been to. We came in and were immediately greeted and conversed with. We couldn't find an item on the menu and had a couple questions. Jay M. immediately helped me out and took care of us. He went above and beyond to take care of us. We'll definitely be stopping by more often and really appreciate his service!”

“This was a very neat and clean gas station/convenience store. Friendly employee. Most importantly to me it was open at the time of night I needed it to be ... the place was well lit which is important. Easy to access from the road. However, do be careful at night when reentering I-81 Northbound it can be difficult to see after the sign.”
The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.

With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.

Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
