After having cross-shopped roughly half a dozen different stores for a floating frame for my 24×36 canvas, FrameMasters not only was the highest quality but also the best price. Compared to Framebridge in Mosaic, not only was their product of a noticeably higher quality, the price was lower. They do everything custom in-store compared to sending it out to a centralized factory like Framebridge does. The final product was outstanding and they had terrific customer service from extremely knowledgeable professionals. The turnaround time was also great. “Excellent experience! Natalie took extra care and time to ensure I had the best glass type and frame color I was looking for to give a friend her wedding photo. The photo looks stunning against the gold wood color and is easy to see without too much reflection. I had a chance to enjoy the studios and chat with an artist before leaving. Got a call within a month that everything was ready for pickup and it was exactly as described. Will be returning for future photos and also to enjoy the art work at the studios.”

“Made in ALX hosted an 11 year old birthday party for my daughter and 13 friends. It was perfect. The owner worked seamlessly in advance to plan and coordinate with me - responding quickly without delay. She was incredibly easy to work with. They had a large table set up and decorated with about a million options of beads and charms. The girls created necklaces/bracelets and 2 hours was the perfect amount of time. The jewelry instructor was patient, working well with 13 girls - providing clear instruction and guidance. I would not hesitate to have another birthday party (or any kind of party!) with Made in ALX. Thank you for such a great experience!!”

“Incredibly impressive place. Gave museum a separate review. The complex is beautiful a truly wonderful reuse of a prison. The cute art studios and exhibits are an amazing public service, bravo to those that championed this. Young ladies in visitor's center couldn't have been nicer, including having to listen to be drone on about meeting Ms. Hirshhorn and having lunch with Steve Ivy :) Though I am nominally living in Texas, going to suggest visiting here to my local sister and friends interest in art. Cute place, including the nice brewery, who had to listen to me drone on about Harpoon and Dan. Not sure I will ever be back, but local folks should make sure they check this place out!”
“Saw a display about the Craft Gallery at the local library and went to check it out with my little one to see if we could find a mother's day present and also a birthday present for my niece. I much prefer finding fun and artsy gifts and especially supporting local artists when buying presents. The staff person who greeted us was very friendly and helpful as we explored the different items. There is lots of variety and things are decently priced as well! We found two perfect little gifts for under $20 each that my mom and niece loved. We will l be going back when we need a unique gift for others in the future!”
“This is such a cool space hiding under Dupont Circle! Came here for the Common Ground / Common Future exhibit where a bunch of local photographers had works on display. I look forward to seeing more shows here! Worth it just to drop in a see the street art around the perimeter.”

“My one stop shop for everything framing! 10 stars. Above and beyond in customer care. They helped pick out a custom frame, matting and glass for a couple of retirement gifts. Both times the team were amazing to work with. The gifts were better than I had hoped for and were perfect for their recipients. The shop can support last minute jobs, too. High quality product in a timely fashion. Highly recommend!”

“Wonderful art gallery in the heart of Ballston, definitely a hidden gem. The photography exhibit I attended had a great turn out and everyone was very friendly. A very diverse crowd, not pretentious at all. I will definitely go back for art and sculpture exhibits.”
“The front office folks are incredibly efficient and very fair. On more than one occasion I’ve had small discrepancies and they handled them quickly and fairly. You’d be hard pressed to find better auction house.
