“I have been shopping at Ollie's for decades. I first found out about them in Pennsylvania when my Dad sent me to pick up tools there. Every visit up there, we would load our vehicle with some of everything at incredible prices. Living in Roanoke for decades, I was so happy when Ollie's got here! The store is kept clean, the restrooms are very decent and things are well stocked especially for a buy out store. I buy all my books there, both hardback and paperback. They have a great assortment of journals, Christian reading and puzzles. The kids toys are always well priced. Almost every employee is nice and helpful. Best of all are the prices at Ollie's!”
“Nice store with lots of selection. The layout is easy to understand and the store is merchandised well. The assistant store manager was friendly and helpful. Friendly knowledgeable cashier.”
“Brand new store. There were hardly no clients though. Had the entire place almost completely to myself. Staff member at the cash register was very friendly and polite and full of joy. Store has big selection. Parking lot almost empty though. Hope people find it.”
“Good club retail where you can find most of your favorite brands at bulk discount prices verses Walmart. Usually very busy and hard to check out in the lines. Scan and go on the Sam’s Club App is a faster method and lets you check out and leave faster. Cafe is now only order through app which is convenient but difficult if you are relying on a phone device. Good location. Parking can be hard to get a close spot though. Overall a good experience.”
“Wow, has this FAMILY DOLLAR, stepped up their game in All aspects in this store. Clean,neat,and stocked. You can actually push a cart through the store and pick up all your wants and needs. Might I, add the new young lady Kelly. who is Smiling and eager to help you find anything you need in the store. At,last I, feel like I can finally go back to picking up, and do shopping at my FAMILY DOLLAR STORE. P.S. In my opinion KELLY deserves a well deserved pat on the back,& a Raise. Way to go,Kelly! “Always can come in and get to what I'm looking to buy quick and be in and out in less than 20mins. Checkout lines are usually fast. A wide variety of items are sold here, not just clothes, including car accessories, shoes, toys, kitchenware, etc.”
“The store is under newer management but the shelf’s are stocked and the employees are great! Don’t judge a worker as rude he might just be different! This store is definitely getting better than it used to be!”

“This is a great Dollar General. It is very spacious, very clean and well organized. There is very little clutter throughout this store. The staff went above and beyond as well, saving me from a very expensive battery cord purchase.

“I like this $ General because its conveniently located in Montvale for if you just need to run and grab a few things and don't want to have to run all the way to Bedford or Bonsack Walmart just for a couple of items. They have a good selection of products as well. Pretty much anything that u could possibly need on a regular day, they have at a reasonable price. I also love their " Dot Deals", where a certain color dot is half off or BOGO, especially on the toys during X~Mas time. I like to buy my son items other places than just Wal-Mart so he has a variety of toys and not just the same old stuff over and over that Walmart has. Don't get me wrong, I like Walmarts toys as well, but once u have bought everything that is in your child's age range, gender and interests, they don't really get new stuff in, where as $ General does, and especially during X~Mas time.”
“I am currently in Roanoke to train some stores for my company. The Manager, Lynn. was awesome!! I needed to stock up on some supplies for myself and the local store that I am working at. Lynn was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of where I could locate everything that I needed. I was in a hurry so she assisted me so I could find things that I needed in a timely manner. Lynn was was so pleasant, helpful and kind and as a faithful Dollar General customer, I was very impressed on how neat and clean this store was. I actually complimented her on on the organization and cleanliness of this store, based on the bad experiences at other stores.Just before I left we had a quick chat. She is an extremely responsible manager and cares about the store and the customers. Dollar general needs more people Lynn!!”
“This store was pretty well stocked & clean. There were a couple things I was looking for, but they didn't have. Most all merchandise was unpacked with only one cart of boxes to unload. The opening staff person greeted me as I came in the door & was very personable checking out.”
