The parking is convenient and right in front of the store. I buy new tools and supplies from this store, or through my rep and pick it up from here. I also bring tools for service as well.”

“Strange review here, but I am a 20 year old female and my headlights both went out at the same time traveling at night. I live about 3 hours away and I stopped here for help. I arrived 25 minutes before close and every worker came out to help me with my car. They spent about 45 minutes checking my fuse boxes and headlights as well as charging my phone. The workers here are more than kind and extremely willing to help a stranger in need. I recommend Glen Echo Hardware store for all of your needs.”

“Brown's Hardware is my go-to place. The service is outstanding. The product knowledge is excellent. I find the product value to be as good as, if not better, than Home Depot. I'm invisible in the big box stores; no help, no knowledge, no assistance. I walk for miles looking and looking for things and end up with nothing. So Brown's is a god-send for me for gardening supplies as well as hard to find gadgets and advice. They repair screens as well as other services. Parking is also good given they are located in a very busy area. I am grateful for them and all they do.”

Went to the back of the store and searched everywhere to no success. I mentioned that I'll take the same tool in smaller size. Issue resolved. “Wow! I am just so pleased with my store experience today. A little cutie patootie named Max helped me out so much today! I came into the store today in search of soil for my gardening pots but I needed help as I did not know which I needed for my pots. I went up to a young man named max who seemed to be seemed to be busy but dropped everything and started helping. He was a huuuuuge help. He taught me all of the nooks and crannies of soil and showed me everything I needed to know and which to buy. Also at checkout he was being a great helper as I was having trouble with my coupons, these gizmos these days are killing me. But he did what he should and called his manager over who later helped me, it was a life saver. He was such a polite young man too and even carried my bags of soil out to my car. Oh boy do I wish I was young again and could carry my stuff! This boy is a rockstar as most kids his age are too lazy to even do a job. When I was a kid everyone had jobs! 5 stars!!!!”

I finally decided to try one more store and when I tell you I hit the jackpot with customer service, I'm not exaggerating. I have a hard time making decisions. I met Mark in flooring and he showed me the tile section. I needed tiles for my bathroom floor, wall, and backsplash. He walked me through the pros and cons, made recommendations, and helped me spend $1200. I was so relieved to have professional help. He was very knowledgeable about the products and professional. This man went above and beyond to assist to the very end. He loaded my car and ensured I had all the additional items I needed. I have never felt this happy about shopping ever! “I had to pick up a couple of new strands of Christmas lights cause good luck finding the bulb that doesn't work lol!Was happy to see they still actually had a large selection instead of being sold out like in recent years.Got two packages of lights, a new pot for my ever-growing, orchid, and a new cute little succulent. Literally, every employee I passed, said hello to me, had a big smile on the face and it was genuine and warm and welcoming. It was a really good vibe. Steven was my cashier and he was amazing! “So so wish I could award half stars! I think this location deserves 3.5 stars.I like that the store advertises the mask mandate and provides hand sanitizer for customers. However, no one really social distances here. Unfortunately that includes employees who are walking close to you with their mask pulled down. I ended up ordering all of the materials for my deck and screened porch floor replacement from Sheets. Davey was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and every employee that I have been in contact with have been the same. I would highly recommend this company!”
