“Great little place full of good local folks. I love to get a fried bologna, egg and cheese sandwich in the morning. Love that Virginia round steak. On Friday the awesome lady in the kitchen attached to the building makes plates of great food for $10.00. The fish is great! Like I mentioned before, great little local spot for me. Get you gas, smokes, beer, food and other gas station goodies here.”

“I have a long and complicated story but bare with me because I think it's worth your time. I'm from DC and my car broke down yesterday in Salem, Va. I have AAA and roadside assistance, each of which gives me 100 miles of free towing. AAA said they would only tow my car to a home or repair shop to hand over the car to roadside assistance's tow truck. I did the math and initially called another repair shop in Waynesboro to ask if the exchange could happen on their property but they said they didn't want to get involved. I understand their hesitation and respect it. Then I called Jim at Ladd and explained the situation. He immediately said yes. I've never used Jim's service and I can't tell you about his skills as a mechanic. But the fact he was kind and jumped to help a complete stranger that he's never met in person tells me he has integrity. Mechanics are trained professionals but integrity isn't something you can necessarily be trained in; it's something you either have or you don't. Jim is a mechanic with integrity. I believe he will be fair and generous with his customers. If I lived in the area, you bet he'd be the only mechanic I'd go to. Thanks Jim for being a decent human being.”
“Nice store staff very friendly and helpful but propane to have ur tank refilled is always $1+ more then tractor supply farmers co op or anywhere else not sure if they are intentionally adding that to the set price and puttimg the cash in there own pocket like a tip for filling up ur tank but thats not right i actually believe that is what a few of the employees are doing”

“This is a 24 hour fleet fueling facility that accepts credit, debit, fleet cards, and Gas Buddy cards. There is not an attendant, but you can get Unleaded Gas, On and Off-Road Diesel, DEF and Kerosene. Rates have been consistently good. Not much for looks, and no convenience store... Just quick in and quick out for fuel.”

The parking lot is spacious and clean, easy to navigate, even with a trailer or larger vehicle. Charging was straightforward, and the station felt safe and well-lit, which matters when you're just passing through.
I walked in to use the restroom, and honestly, it was cleaner than I expected for a highway stop—well-stocked, no weird smells, just taken care of. The staff inside didn’t try to upsell or bug me, but they were friendly, curious about the car, and asked a few questions with genuine interest. That kind of interaction feels rare these days.
Didn’t grab food or browse, but from what I saw, the place was tidy, organized, and welcoming overall. If you're driving through Stuarts Draft and just need a solid pit stop to charge, stretch, and reset, this one’s worth bookmarking.”

“Love this market in Wintergreen resort. Pizza and sandwich options are the main attraction to me. Wine selection is pretty solid. Groceries are a little overpriced but to be expected for the resort location”
