About MultiCare Auburn Medical Center Emergency Department
MultiCare Auburn Medical Center Emergency Department provides comprehensive medical services to the South King County community. The hospital has been serving the region since 1921, offering a wide range of treatments, from emergency care for stroke and heart attack victims to minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery and a Family Birth Center. While the emergency department can be busy, with long wait times reported by some patients, the overall quality of care is praised by many. Reviewers highlight the exceptional nursing staff, who demonstrate genuine compassion and concern for their patients. The care received, even during chaotic periods, is described as "stellar" and "nothing short of fantastic," with staff tending to urgent situations with sensitivity and professionalism. Patients appreciate the hospital's ability to manage serious medical issues, such as bleeding ulcers, and provide prompt, lifesaving treatment when needed. However, reviewers note that the ER is often overcrowded with non-emergency cases, which can contribute to longer wait times for those with more pressing needs. Despite the challenges of a busy emergency department, MultiCare Auburn Medical Center is recognized for its high-quality medical services and the exceptional care provided by its dedicated staff, particularly the nursing team, who go above and beyond to ensure the well-being of their patients.
My Grandmother was admitted to the ICU today on a ventilator. While in the the ER her Nurse Hunter King could not be more thoughtful, kind and caring. He was with us every step of the process. His dedication to his patient and family, is not un-noticed. Thank you very much Mr. King you are an example for humanity.
