Fixed my wonky wireless derailleur (I think the hanger was bent) while I waited, and even showed me the dumb mistake I had made threading the chain in a friendly way (which has not always been my experience with bike mechanics). I liked the place so much I bought a helmet too at a reasonable price. Will be back.”
“I had Ride Bicycles Bike Shop in Seattle upgrade my Cervelo. The manager Hannah was awesome. She found NOS resources and parts. The rebuild was done with cheerful oversight. The new bars and brake levers were a very big improvement in ride comfort! I do 30 -100 mile rides.”
“Been into Trek Redmond about 8 times over the last year for bike maintenance and warranty issues. It’s not the closest bike shop to my house, but the employees who work there always make it worth the extra time driving. Throughout the issues I’ve encountered, Alex has always stepped up and made sure I was taken care of. Not only did Trek Redmond fix/warranty the problems with my bike, but they went above and beyond with the level of detail and customer experience throughout the process. “The staff was nice, knowledgeable, and dedicated. The store is open for limited hours (Noon to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday) due to the all-volunteer staff of bicycle fans. It's worth working your schedule to arrive during their hours.Very convenient location to ride your bike to, along Hiawatha Street, connecting Dearborn to the I-90 bike route.”

Tyler and Robert worked hard to find a bike that fit my budget and parameters, and made sure to have me (and my son!) test out each bike. (They also let my 5 year old hang out at the shop and cannily bribed him to get him on the bikes!)
They were really focused on making sure that I walked out of the shop with a bike that made sense for me and my family.

“I shopped at Branford bike back in the 1980's when it was in Branford, CT. I have been a cyclist/racer for 48 years and this shop is one of the best. I have used their rebuild kits to keep my wife's old 10 speed Campagnolo shifters like new. I just had them re build the rear derailleur. It was out and back to Dallas in a week. I have talked to them on the phone and they have been nothing but helpful and polite”
“Treat your bike shop as you would your primary care doctor: seek expertise first and foremost, build a history for optimized long-term care, and—if you’re lucky—enjoy some proper bedside manner too.
I’ve found this at Mello Fellos, a recent growth from Jesse and Andy’s nearby OG shop MTB Repair where I’ve dropped in for simple, pre-bike adventure consultations and a tool here and there.
The new shop is awesome—they still have rad swag, and their mechanic, Jon, has done some amazing specialty work on my bike—repairing a fork warped by careless baggage handlers, and converting my stock wheelset into a tubeless setup. A bike genius, he speaks in metaphors and can explain complex lingo into relatable concepts.
Great work and on time, with fair, transparent pricing locks me in. Getting as excited about my bike as I do makes me want to return often for cosmetic procedures and preventive care.

“We had a great purchase experience of a new Tern bike, and have also had an excellent service experience for our Rad bike. We purchased the Rad used to see if e-bikes were a good fit for our family, and the folks at Seattle electric bike helped point out some of the reasons they weren't huge Rad fans in a very objective, non-judgmental way. The Rad ended up having some issues down the line, so when we needed a new bike we came back to test drive some options. They were informative, clearly knowledgeable bike people that answered our questions to help guide us to an option we're really happy with and have enjoyed for over a month of summer. Check them out if you are considering an e-bike!”

The quality of service has always been very high, whether it was getting fitted for and buying my Heckler in the early 2000s, getting my Schwinn Sting Ray and Peddle Power BMX bikes serviced in the mid to late ‘70s, or building my Tarmac. I always get treated like royalty and it’s a pleasure doing business with them.”
