“When I sprung a leak in my Honda CRV exhaust system I asked Honda of Bellingham to give me an estimate while they had my car up on the lift for some recall work.They texted me an estimate for $8,100! Huh?? ??! I told the counter guy there was no way I would/could pay that and he chuckled and agreed it was a massively stupid quote. I'm not sure why they would even send it then, it seems really predatory.I looked for a good exhaust repair shop in Bellingham and finally one garage (thank you Joe's Automotive) suggested Ben Richards fabrication in Burlington. I called ahead and roared down the I-5 on Thursday afternoon for an estimate. Amber at the desk, the wife of Forest (one of the owners) was very nice and I had barely settled in to wait when Forest walked in and told me he had already looked underneath the car and had diagnosed the problem. Two flanges had rusted out and his solution was to simply cut them out and weld in a connector pipe.Forest said "it will take me about 1/2 an hour, I can have you in and out for under $100!" No hedging, no upsell. Tell me the last time you took your car to any automotive shop and got away for less than 100 bucks? Doesn't happen unless You're getting an oil change. It gets even better.He asked when I needed my car. I told him I was driving to Vancouver on Monday afternoon. Without a moment's hesitation he offered to squeeze me in the following day even though the shop is officially closed on Fridays! I told him Monday a.m. would be more than fair and Amber scheduled me in.Long story short, I arrived on Monday and about an hour later I was on the road, my exhaust totally fixed and whisper quiet. The total including taxes was $90, $8,000 less than the outrageous, almost comical Honda of Bellingham quote.For the short time I was in the waiting area of the office I observed Forest and Amber's interaction with their customers. They didn't talk down to people, and really worked hard to meet their customer's needs in terms of scheduling and repair options available.When you see all the cars parked in the lot you assume they must be booked out weeks in advance, yet somehow they were able to take care of their customers in a timely (and highly cost effective) manner.If you are within driving distance of Burlington WA and you need exhaust work done, THIS is the place to go. I am so happy to have found an independent repair shop that does excellent work and puts customer satisfaction first. Thank you Forest and Amber, you have a loyal customer for life. ?”

The shop was clean and the equipment was state of the art and appeared well maintained.The man I spoke with seemed to really know his stuff. He immediately knew what the radiator was for. He gave me a breakdown on options for repair comparing cost with warranty and construction methods and materials.I'll definitely be bringing any future repairs here.”

“I had an excellent stress-free experience from start to finish. I stopped by with my wife and started to look at the 4Runner selection and Ed Mayfield greeted us in the lot. Ed was a breath of fresh air as I was expecting a high-pressure salesman and he was nothing like that. He had extensive knowledge on the 4Runners and was very helpful in explaining the differences between each model. We told him we were going to come back the next day to make the purchase and he didn’t try to hold us hostage like some dealerships will do the moment you try to leave without a purchase. I came back the next day and met with Ed for a test drive in a 2023 4Runner Limited and that sealed the deal. From there Keith Mayernik walked us through the financing side of things and made the whole process smooth. Ed and Keith were extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable and I would recommend them to anyone looking to made a new car purchase.”

“Long story short. Les Swab inspected my brakes and said both of my rear struts were leaking and needed replacement (1k service). I was past the warrenty marker for my new Mazda, but I contacted this dealer to have a second opinion--they told me I could come in today, for free and they would look at.Mechanic (Justin) was just awesome. My struts showed no leaking and he walked me around my car, and gave me details about everything.I normally steer away from dealers, as they always seem to price gouge and their service technicans always seem to be, 'trainees.' But Justin was really helpful and awesome and saved me a bunch of money.Oddly, even though this dealership is outta the way from my home, I will be taking my car back here for servicing in the future.”

“We were researching the Pathfinder and another brand, and we were not yet ready to buy. Jonathan at Nissan was extremely helpful any time I had questions and never once pressured me. The other brand had a manager that was very off putting, which made the decision to go with Nissan even easier.We recently purchased the 2024 Pathfinder and I hate to say this, as it’s never been pleasant before, but it was an amazing buying experience! There was only one car in the state that matched the colors we wanted and they traded for it before we even signed anything or put down a deposit, so that we could be comfortable with the purchase. Jonathan was happy and fun during all of the ‘negotiations’ and has continued to help us after the sale.I would give Jonathan more stars if I could as it was the first car buying experience I’ve ever enjoyed. “Looking at purchasing a brand new R3 here soon, and went in for a bit to check it out. The team was extremely friendly and helpful - Anna, at the front desk, dug out the R3 for me from like 3 lines of bikes, so that I could get a chance to sit on it. Jose answered a ton of questions about them, stocking, pricing, and whether an R3 is a good fit VS. say a 400D. Later that same visit, Conrad gave me some great recommendations on Helmet brands, helped me understand different fits and sizes, and even let me check out his personal helmet so I'd understand the quality in Shoei helmets. “We are on our 4th Mazda from Burlington, Dwayne Lane’s Skagit Mazda. We love Luke, he is awesome and has been involved with selling us each car. In fact I had my Mazda CX-7 for 14 years and called my car Luke! Skagit Mazda emailed us a video inspection of our car when we had it in this week and that was very interesting and informative. I hope they continue to do this. We always have our oil changed at the dealership, and no matter what is being done they wash and vacuum the car at each visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this dealership.”

“I had my car towed here when I burned out the clutch on the freeway.I would highly recommend that you make an appointment and get your car checked before it breaks down, but I hadn't had any maintenance done other than oil changes and tires replaced.Dan, the owner, and Shawn, the mechanic, are highly knowledgeable and experienced. While it did take some time (as other cars from people with appointments were ahead of me, as well as supply chain issues in getting parts) but they don't want to give your car back only for another problem to come up. The engine had to be pulled and they found a lot of issues, and fixed everything.My 1998 Subaru is fun to drive again!Services: General repairs & maintenance”

“If I could 6 stars I would. My 08 Sienna had a healthy power steering leak out of rack and pinion and the PS pump. I had planned a trip out of town for the Labor Day weekend, found out Wed prior of the leak. Arranged w Les Schwab to have work done, they balked, called Jon Evans on Thursday, they took care of the repair, new pump, new OEM reman rack, aligned, and air filter for less than the independent quotes. That is not a normal scenario. Van drives great, no more leaks, and OEM parts, fluids, and service. By far the best dealership service experience I have ever had, Jon and the team saved my Labor Day weekend! Thanks Jon and Team!”

“Update: I've just received my vehicle back from having the front motor and a battery cell replaced under warranty. They fixed their mistake and refinished my wheels at no charge. They took care of other things for me as well and I'm really grateful. The repair was a big one and we estimated it would be a few months for the parts to arrive but they got it done within a month! That was a good surprise. For those who are iffy about giving them another chance, don't think too hard. Just do it.”

“I ordered a Brand new vehicle that was supposed to be here in December 2023 Chris Chiba my sales man called to let me know that it will be here earlier which was awesome. Drove up to Foothills to start the buying process which was smooth and hassle free on their part. I've read some reviews about this place and it seems bad However, for me personally the car buying process from start to finish was a NO pressure and ALL about TRANSPARENCY . I 100% would recommend buying again from them. If anyone thinks about buying a vehicle from them I'd recommend seeing Chris Chiba(salesman). “We took our 16 year old Suburban to have significant, but cosmetic, damage repaired. Ernesto did a beautiful job. The paint matched perfectly and was well done. The price was very, very reasonable. He even ordered a used replacement tail light to replace our damaged one. That saved us money and matched our other tail light perfectly. Ernesto was very pleasant to deal with. You have to contact him via cell phone, which sometimes involves phone tag, but that is a minor inconvenience. Excellent work, good to deal with and great value.
