“This ain’t no Home Depot or Lowe’s, so go ahead and lower those big-box expectations right now 😂
But honestly? That’s kinda the charm.
This place has all your basic nuts, bolts, and random “how did they even have that?” items. It’s like a treasure hunt for people who actually fix things. You walk in for one screw and somehow leave with three things you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without.
The staff? Solid. No attitude, no wandering around for 20 minutes looking for help—just real people who actually know what they’re talking about. Been coming here for 5 years and never had an issue.
It’s close, convenient, and gets the job done. What more do you really need?
Oh—and they’ll even sharpen your chainsaw blade, which feels slightly dangerous but also very appreciated.
Bottom line: it’s not fancy, but it works… and sometimes that’s way better.”
“We got Propane there today and the two guys that were helping were super nice and didn't let the pouring rain put them a bad mood. And the staff inside was extremely nice.”
“My daughter and I visited your nursery yesterday and were quite pleased. You made our mother/daughter day just so perfect! Not only were your trees and plants the very best and surpassed our educated expectations (daughter is a plant expert), but the service was definitely top notch! I will definitely share with our friends. Thank you, thank you!!!”
“I needed an infrared thermometer to document problems I'm having with my apartment's refrigerator and freezer. The website indicated the unit I wanted in the price range of my budget was on a certain aisle. Sure enough, it was where the website said it would be. Staff was friendly, place clean, and HF has just about every tool a contractor or homeowner would need for their project.
The only reason I gave four instead of five stars is they have a 20% restocking fee for the infrared thermometer and, I assume, other like items. I asked the cashier if the thermometer had a lot of returns and was told there wasn't.
So, overall it's a good place for tools and other contractor's and do-it-yourselfers items needed to complete their project done.”
“Lows gardening center is a place of beauty. The aromas from flowers meet your nose in a way I can only describe as sensory overload. It is well set up. Everything is easy to find and assorted nicely. The plants are alive and thriving. You won’t be disappointed when choosing this location for all your gardening needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back!”

“Home town store nice not having to rely on big box store. Good people all are local and care about their customers. ¡!!!!!! Why should I have to say more than I want to.”
“Our family stops in the Baker store almost every day. Fuel, Propane, Deli food, Fishing tackle, Snacks and drinks, Oil , Def for the diesel. Cat food, Dog food, you name it they probably carry it. Fishing and hunting licenses sold for Cash only. They don't have Duck stamps though.
A lot of the staff is super nice and friendly”
“We were looking for kitchen countertops today at the Longview Store.
An incredible sales associate named Brenda helped us. She's pleasant, upbeat and a joy to interact with while searching for countertops. Brenda was extremely knowledgeable about the different surfaces as well as the pros and cons of each material/surface. She wrote up a quote, discussed the many different options of each, and helped to match the countertop to the color of our paint swatches!
She's outstanding!
Ask for Brenda if you're in that area!
Highly recommended!”
“Friendliest business I've been to in the area. Every employee went above and beyond to help me and make me feel welcome. Prices and quality are good. Will definitely be my first stop for any future construction needs.”
