“I was very hesitant to try acupuncture at first because I didn’t know if I was comfortable with the needles. However, I’m so glad I gave it a try because acupuncture with Dr. Francis changed my life!

When I first started seeing him, I had been having ongoing joint pain that initially prevented me from walking and had persisted for over a year. I had seen numerous medical doctors and naturopathic doctors, tried Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicine, had X-rays and physical therapy, and tried different pain medications with varying unpleasant side effects. I was getting desperate when I finally decided to try acupuncture.

Dr. Francis is welcoming, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and safe. He checked in with me throughout the process and always made sure I knew I could speak up if I needed anything. He told me treatment would be like “unpeeling the onion” and would take time, and reassured me that this was normal.

I was very sore after my first treatment and initially reluctant to continue, but I decided to trust the process. In the beginning I went twice a week, but as I improved I was able to decrease to once a week, then every other week, and eventually every three to four weeks.

By the end of my treatment course, I was able to wean off all of my pain medication under the supervision of my primary care doctor. My pain had diminished so much that it was hardly noticeable and certainly wasn’t running my life like it had been for well over a year. I was able to take back my life.
