    “Went to Haggen for an apple fritter. Most grocery bakeries are making them elsewhere and heating them up at the store. Jackie, the Baker manager proudly told me that the make the apple fritters fresh and from scratch there. She listed all the items at the bakery that was fresh. Then we met Nikki, the lead baker. I could tell that Jackie was a great manager because Nikki was so happy at her job. The bakery staff gets there early in the am so you can have fresh baked good today. Nice to see fresh real foods being made and the pride from the employees that they are part of that. If you want fresh baked goods go to Haggen Bakery an while you are there, check out the beautiful cakes custom decorated. Tell Jackie, Jay said hi.”

    “It’s so incredibly nice having a pharmacy of competent individuals who are also human and nice. The bar is so low nowadays I almost forgot what good service was like. They care and they actually go the extra mile no matter what employee you deal with. I don’t care about them saying hello or whatever the other reviews complain about. They get my meds on time and with minimal issue. The job gets done. Don’t care about anything else. They’ve been nice every time I go though always busy.”

    “I had a good time except when I was at the check stand & one of the checkers not the one checking me out but another one was trying to help me get checked out. I told her how thankful I was for her help. She said if she were to get caught trying to help she would be repromanded. I was appalled at that. That is not how you treat employees & customers need to feel very well taken care of. Oh how customer service has changed over the years. When a business feels family oriented we have a community we want to be a part of.”

    “This Fred Meyer is located in north Marysville on State Avenue. The parking lot is HUGE but it is still somewhat difficult to find parking as this is a very popular Freddy's. This store is a very large Fred Meyer's which is evident the second you walk inside. It's quite spacious and requires a lot of walking to go from one side of the store to the other. Almost every section is large. Produce, meats, dairy, bakery, deli, and other grocery items make up about a third of the store. They have a large clothing section and a fairly large toy section. Seasonal products are displayed in their own section. From gardening to automotive to outdoor items, there isn't much you CAN'T find here. There's even a pharmacy and a Starbucks inside the store. Fred Meyers is a great place just to spend an hour walking around and discovering things you never knew you needed. And on top of all that, prices here are usually the lowest you can find anywhere. They even have numerous clearance items areas. Definitely spend some time shopping here. You won't be disappointed.”

  • Walmart Expands 30-Minute Delivery to 33 Markets

    Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
