“My family were on the way to go to West Port for happy family weekend through Mother's day. Nature's calling us, we needed to stop somewhere safe, but where? My son checked Google map and pointed at one store named Brady Market. Gladly, the owner was a Korean, a vietnam war veteran, and his wife was a kind, friendly, and beautiful. We were happy to find the place. When we said good bye to the couple in front of the store, the owner found a nail on the tire of our car. Thankfully he spent his time with his professional tools to fix our tire. He refused to get paid. The place was clean, and we were impressed by their warm hearts. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Hong!”
“Montesano locals The Melvins played a show behind this store (where singer/guitarist Buzz Osborne worked at the time) in the summer of 1983. It was advertised as “The THEM Festival”, a reaction to the “US Festival”, which had just taken place in Southern California. A young kid named Kurt Cobain was one of the teens in attendance, and he would later write in his journal that the Melvins’ music was exactly what he had been looking for.”
“Very chill place, good for drinks and snacks if you are on that side of town. Sometimes has Chinese food and it's pretty good for one of the only Chinese places in the area.”
