After trying for half an hour to get it unstuck and getting it lodged even worse, I gave up and tried going to the nearby Shell service station to see if they could dislodge it. At first they looked at it and said "I don't know if we can get that out." I was resigned to the thought that I would have to cut my seatbelt. But then undaunted by the challenge, Robert, a fellow dad, made it his mission to free the seatbelt. He and Ike used a bunch of tools and a lot of elbow grease, but it was pretty stuck. It looked hopeless for a while, but then finally, there was a shout; they had dislodged the belt! I gave them a standing ovation. It was a pretty unusual request, and they charged a very fair price for the work. And all through it, they were super nice. I would definitely go back there for service in the future.”
