“This is the second week I have had to get a prescription here for my husband. Elizabeth went out of her way to help me for the pharmacy that the prescription was called into did not have the product. We transferred it last week and had to go through some hoops today to get a refill. Exceptional service and so helpful! You feel like someone really cares and they are very busy but does not change how kind and helpful pharmacy staff is. Thank you!”

“ampm is my favorite convenience store in Oak Harbor. But the gas at Arco is more expensive than some other places, so I usually come only for the convenience store. ampm actually sells hot food that doesn't actually take like crap, like they even have a kitchen in the back. Try the 3 pack peanut butter cookies, they're the best non-homemade peanut butter cookies I've have. They have no reason to be this delicious, but I'm not complaining. But my favorite part by far is the rewards program on the app, it's great, just get the ampm app and you get so much free stuff. Also for every dollar spent you get a "scratcher" on the app, so you can win free drinks and snacks and things. They also have 89¢ large fountain sodas, so with tax it's still under a dollar. Never get the bottled soda at gas stations, they're smaller and more expensive, this is at all convenience stores, not just ampm.”

“Courtesy of the U.S. Navy, I spent considerable time in the Philippines in the 70's and 80's. I acquired a taste for their food and beer (domestic versions), as well as developing a respect and admiration for their people.
My two favorite foods there are lumpia, a deep-fried spring roll, and pancit, a noodle dish. Both are very hard to find here. Perla's is a mandatory stop when we visit Oak Harbor. Freshly-prepared food is available in the back. A small dining area is in the front of the store. A freezer is filled with various types of lumpia. My wife and I enjoyed a great lunch of lumpia and pancit, then purchased a large bag of frozen lumpia, to enjoy at home.
The women who operate the store are from career Navy families. The entire operation is very casual, with many regular customers. The building is the former location of Chris' Bakery, which moved to another location. Expect zero atmosphere, as the interior is very basic. The focus here is on the excellent food.
The store has a small parking lot.”
