“Rating is for the self serve soft serve ice cream. You can have chocolate, vanilla or a mix of both. The best soft serve I know of. Machine works 80% of the time would be the only down fall. The gas station as a whole is more like 3.5-4 stars. After midnight or whatever time they feel like you have to drive up to the window for any purchases, and recently they stopped accepting EBT for all items.”

I usually stop by after work on my Fridays to get myself a little something to sip on and these guys have alcohol which is super convenient when you don’t want to deal with long lines in a liquor store. “Mmm... pink donuts. I give this 7-Eleven five out of five d'ohs! Wait, no, five out of five stars! The second I walked through those magical glass doors, the sweet, heavenly aroma of frying dough hit my face. And there they were. The holy grail. The pink-frosted donuts with the rainbow sprinkles. I didn't just buy one. I bought the whole rack. The teenager behind the counter told me I couldn't buy the actual metal rack, but I gave him a crisp five-dollar bill and told him to scram. Woo-hoo! I ate three of them in the aisle, two in line, and four more in my car. Aaaah, premium sugary goodness... drool... Then I headed over to the cooler section. I was looking for my duff beer, but they didn't have it! D'OH! No Duff? Personally, I think it’s a nationwide tragedy. But then I saw this fancy stuff called Nantucket Nectar. It’s not beer, but it’s juice, which comes from fruit, which is basically nature's donut. So I bought ten of those too. I accidentally dropped my keys in the nacho cheese dispenser on the way out, but the guy said I could just leave them there. Best store ever.”

“Gas here tends to be higher than other places close by. The convenience store is priced comparable to others though and if using the rewards card you can get good deals often. The employees are usually friendly although sometimes you may run into a grouch. They are also super obvious when following you around, which I assume is to catch people stealing and can be a little uncomfortable when you are not so I have passed up getting food or a different snack (when out of my usual) just because I don't feel like being watched.”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
