“Harry's takes me back to my childhood. I used to go to Harry's from 1985-1990 while in elementary school. So many fond memories and the staff was always very friendly with the neighborhood kids. We were never dismissed as being "just kids". We were treated like valuable customers like the adults. I remember taking my chores money and riding my bike (I lived in the house next to FBC Lacey) to buy the stick Jolly Ranchers and Air Heads for around $0.05-0.10 a piece. It was always a place my friends and I would walk/ride to to get some candy.I remember in 5th grade buying a whole bunch of candy for an in-class store that we had several times a year (if you were in Mrs. Morey's 5th grade class, you know what I'm talking about). Last time I was in the PNW for business I, unfortunately, didn't have time to visit my childhood store. Maybe one day I'll get that chance again--although I doubt I can get the Jolly Ranchers and Air Heads for the same price. LOLThank you for so many fond childhood memories!”

“Awesome gas prices, sweet convenience store. Great coffee and interesting counter people with great smiles and or quick uplifting conversation. Positive environment. Clean and even has freeze dried space candy along with a wide variety of energy drinks, snacks and sandwiches freshly made. Lots of locals and travelers traversing the real life human web here. A good place to get the pulse of how Yelm’s heart is beating. Small town with lots of traffic and most of it sends to pass through this gem of a store. Easy in easy out. Simply impressing and gratifying along with a steady flow of lotto scratcher winners lol.”

“The place is a little run down, but the cashiers are clean and fast. The prices are reasonable. Nothing has seemed too overpriced for a convenience store. Will be returning on the regular.”

“Negatives: The guy literally makes me feel like an inconvenience for shopping at his connivence store... Even more so when shouting stuff at me after ten seconds in. Maybe he thought I was a teen thief and not a normal adult chick. Maybe he though I was taking to long to look (visually impaired here). But shouting at people if they are done yet over and over in not the nicest thing... kinda a turn off. I dont care If its a bad day and he is normally nice. That last time in ruined this place for me. Im always friendly and to be treated bad, forming anxiety for the place, just closed the deal which was already closing from the normal grumpiness. I think he smiled at me once, ever. And I only went every six months or so since I was a kid lol. Though now I live literaly one minute away, can see it from my house, and could easaly come every day if I wanted but I go elsewhere...”

“If you're looking for old-school air pump to inflate your tires, this is the place. Plus, it's a drive through. I went to another place over by the new gas station at the QFC, and it's three dollars for a pump that blows a tiny bit harder than you whistle. I also use this place to gas up...it's very handy.”

“You will find the same delightful associate at checkout that used to work at the Sleater-Kinney Rite-Aid in Lacey; she has a lovely German accent. With the Sleater-Kinney store closed, go to the Whitman Ln. (in same area as QFC Yelm Highway) Rite-Aid, and depending on when her shift is, she will be there, with the same warmth that she always greeted you with at the previous Rite Aid. You feel good when you leave that store after chatting with her.”
