Bark R Boutique
15701 E Sprague Ave suite e, Spokane ValleyWe took our dog to Bark'R Boutique this week. He had been to two other groomers in the past and was severely traumatized. At Bark'R Boutique, we received the best care. Our dog left happy and very dapper. When we arrived, we met with the actual groomer who was going to groom our boy. He was beyond professional, thoroughly discussed what we wanted done and gave us options on how we wanted our dog groomed. We are truly blessed to have found such a wonderful groomer and look forward to coming back.

Shear Heaven Pet Salon
818 N Pines Rd # B, Spokane Valleywell this will be second attempt at my review as I'm pretty sure the first one won't be seen, I've been taking my pom there for 9 years now, I used to be happy with this pet salon, I raved and told many people to take their dogs here, but for whatever reason the last 4 cuts I have been very dissatisfied, I took him today I came to pick him up and didn't see him in a cage plenty were empty so i said where is my dog the owner said he is finished. The owner was cutting another dogs hair and she said oh he is, he's in the back because he barks, he's never been put in the back, then the other groomer proceeds to try to get me to pay before retrieving my dog, I said I forgot his collar and walked out to my car instead of getting my dog she stood behind the register while I was outside, then she tried ringing me up again I said bring my dog out here, so she headed to the back the owner literally stopped cutting the other dogs hair and came with it in hand to ring me up ,she even leaned over to put I in a cage, by this time I'm thinking is my dog hurt, dead what? then the oner says he's no longer tolerating the blow dryer. when he came out I should have taken my sunglasses off and looked him over, instead as he mellowed out in the car on the way home I started getting angry looking at the haircut. 60.00 is way high but now I have to take him someplace else to fix it . so disappointed they treated my dog and myself this way when I have been taking him there for almost a decade. my advice to them is to stop taking so many dogs in 1 day you start going beyond caring about your job.

All Star Grooming
5802 E Sprague Ave, Spokane ValleyI am extre.ely pleased with the groomer at All Star Grooming. She was very knowledgeable of everything. I have a an 8 year old long haired, overweight, blind cat that enjoys getting groomed. She doesn't like to be around a lot of loud noises & dogs barking. The groomer really did take special care of her needs. She was very enduring with my cat when she had to towel dry her, in lieu of the blow dryer. She appeared very tolerant while towel drying my cats hair, clipping her nails, etc, because the hair needed to be dry before any razor was used on the fur. This groomer was extremely tentative to my cat's needs & body language. she was very polite, easy going, and knowledgeable, professional, goofy! She is marvelous to have grooming my cat. She also comes out and trims dog & cat nails. Some of my neighbors try to get together, and have her clip all their animals too. We all enjoy & love the fact that she comes out and clips our fur babies nails!!! She is truly fantastic!!!

K9 Country Club Pet Center
19223 E Appleway Ave, Spokane ValleyWe sent our dog to K9 Country Club's board and train program and I am beyond happy with the outcome. Nick, Cody, and Jessie all took great care of us and our concerns during our dogs time there.
Our dog Rocket, is a mini heeler, we have had heelers before, but we were having a hard time training this one. He is stubborn and extremely vocal. We were not enjoying our time with our 1 year old puppy. All of our home efforts of training were unsuccessful. Nick and Cody spotted all of Rocket's bad habits during his evaluation, they described him to a tee, I felt like they did understand him. They told us it would be about 3 weeks of board and train, we were excited and had hope. After the first week, we brought Rocket home for the weekend and we could already see the difference! They ended up only needing 2 weeks to complete his training and he is like a brand new dog, a happier dog and we are a happier family for it! They took the time to teach us how to communicate effectively with Rocket. They took time to tell us in detail how they worked with him, using balanced training, correction and reward. They made sure we were confident on how to follow through with what our pup learned and even continue with follow up appointments to make sure we are confident moving forward.
I am so grateful for our experience with them! Rocket has unlocked all his potential, Nick and Cody are true professionals and wonderful at working with dogs.

Dr Mom's Animal Clinic
404 S Pines Rd, Spokane ValleyWhen a primary care vet was needed, a spokane emergency vet mentioned several, none were taking new patients Except : Dr Moms. when dental work and evals were needed for our 2 chihuahuas, Dr Moms came through for us... amazingly compassionate approach to Canine patient care. no nonsense approach to plan of care, and pricing is done in advance, no surprises, simply one of the best Vets I have ever met. recently had to diagnose and set up long term therapy and care for our 8 yr old. the negative reviews look more like a "competitor campaign" from a nearby clinic, I have paid a fair price for my pets dental care and it was worth it.. as far as med prices go, yes chewy is cheaper, but don't bash This business for charging a fair price, I work in retail and get really tired of hearing about Amazon, a faceless selling machine. hey, you do you... I will always choose Dr Moms over anyone in town.

I-Guard International
19223 E Appleway Ave Suite 400, Spokane ValleyLife-Changing Experience for Me and My Warrior Pup
I don’t even know where to begin—this dog means the world to me.
Pixie came into my life under heartbreaking circumstances. At just 3 weeks old and a tiny Gerberian Shepsky, she was thrown from a moving vehicle over a fence and left in the cold. The ruff start to life she endured that November left deep scars. Neurological and behavioral challenges were present from the beginning but new challenges emerged as she hit 18 months.
As a holistic practitioner, I threw my entire toolbox at helping her heal since I had her—aromatherapy, trauma informed manual therapy, relaxation massage, sound healing, CBD. I worked to build a bond with her through movement—skijoring and bikejoring—which gave us glimpses of hope, but her anxiety continued to overwhelm both of us. I felt frustrated, heartbroken, and unsure how to truly reach her.
After some private and group training sessions, it became clear that Pix needed more intensive support. The decision to send her to work with Nick and Jessi was not easy—I have an incredibly deep soul connection with Pixie, and being apart from her was difficult. But I took the leap, trusting that something good might come from it.
What happened was nothing short of remarkable.
Pixie returned to me a different dog in all the best ways. Her anxiety, reactivity, and stress have decreased significantly. She is calm, focused, and more emotionally regulated. The look in her eyes is softer—peaceful. The transformation is undeniable, and for the first time in a long time, I feel hope and joy in our journey together. Looking forward to our mountain adventures and enjoying time with my girl without the extra stress of the behavior issues. She is a just a happy dog now with really good manners.
Nick has a rare gift—what I can only describe as a true dog whisperer’s awareness to communicate with the dogs in a language that reaches them.. He not only helped Pixie transform, he helped me find my footing again as her partner and reclaim control over the situation.
Jessi was also incredible, sending photos and updates throughout the process that helped ease my heart while we were apart.
I am endlessly proud of my girl and so grateful to Nick and Jessi for guiding her (and me) through this pivotal moment. If you are struggling with a dog who is deeply loved but bringing you stress, please don’t wait—reach out. This experience changed our lives.
Forever grateful,
Jenna Kaufmann

Thai Kitchen
621 S Pines Rd, Spokane ValleyHands down best Thai we've had here! My fiance actually has never liked Thai food but I convinced him to get something and he absolutely loved both his and mine. Flavor was amazing, everything cooked well. The spice was so delicious! My fiancés family is Cambodian so we eat a whole lot of spicy food and honestly a 3 star was a reasonable amount of spice for me. Also, the owner and daughter came out with the food and they were both so kind. They ran back in to grab my dog treats and were welcoming of any feedback whether it would be good or bad. We won't be going anywhere else for Thai after trying this! And thankfully now my fiance will eat Thai with me. Only bummer was that I'd ordered a 4 oz container of spicy fish sauce but it was missed in the order. Was excited to try it but we'll still be back!

Craft & Gather
4403 S Dishman Mica Rd, Spokane ValleyThis was a stop for our family while we were in town for a family reunion. They worked very smoothly at preparing a table for all 8 of us. Their electronic wait list was very convenient and the host was very attentive at making sure there was proper seating for all of us as we needed sturdy chairs for our elderly guests. The food was very good and I wish they weren't out of the bacon fat popcorn as I had wanted to try it! The ability to sit outside with everyone was so nice and helped us create a great memory with all our family. My husband said the Cuban was delicious and I enjoyed the tri tip steak. Would come again if it wasn't so far from home.

517 N Pines Rd, Spokane ValleyHow have I lived here so long and NEVER knew this place was a mini- Old European?!?! We went at 11am on Sunday morning and the place was packed. We only waited 15 minutes for a table! It's very cozy, every inch of the space is allocated. I'd hate to be at the table to the right of the breakfast bar. It didn't look like they use it though. Beignets were an amazing "appetizer" We were so busy enjoying each others company I totally forgot to take a pic of my food. Chorizo omelette was great. Daughter had the Scandinavian cake plate. We left with full tummies and leftovers!
