I am selfishly reluctant to share my experience out of fear that this team will become so busy they will not have enough hours in the day to offer the exceptional service that we had today. They saw us immediately and were so kind and caring. unfortunately, our dog was too ill to be helped and had to be put down. Emergency Vet Hospital of Coeur d'Alene
1336 West Kathleen Avenue, Coeur d'AleneAmazing staff and so compassionate! I had my kitten neutered today at Pet Savers in the Valley and they seem to have not given a reversal to the sedative. He’s 6.4lbs and about 4-5 months old, the sweetest little grey guy, so energetic and playful- always running around at Mach Jesus speeds and getting into play fights with his brothers Apollo and (blind) Oracle Nugget. I picked him up at 5:45 and he was still completely out and had a little poop coming out. A couple hours later, around 7:40, i noticed his bladder was leaking a constant dribble. I tried holding him over the litter box, but he had ZERO control of himself and just laid limply in my arms. That’s when i called the ER vet in the valley who treated my pup in the past (great people if CDA is full), they told me Pet Savers sometimes don’t give reversal drugs and to call here bc they were unfortunately at capacity.
I spoke to a lovely tech who helped calm me down and give me instructions on what to do. I didn’t give her my or his name, but the second i walked in- despite having a pretty full lobby and all rooms occupied- that same wonderful angel of a human saw me and immediately knew who i was. She basically younked my sweet Grey’Lien out of my arms to check his vitals and make sure he’s okay for the moment.
She came back and advised me that yes, he’s very HEAVILY sedated, but stable and in good health vitals wise. Due to the business, my wait would be long so i could stay in the waiting room and see if he woke up while i waited. We were there about 3.5 hours in total, we did see the vet and he had finally started coming around by then, so the absolutely wonderful Dr Orlando (I’m sorry that’s the only name i remember or asked for, but everyone was so kind and compassionate) advised me that i could take him home and wait it out since Pet Savers didn’t notate what sedatives he was given, at what dosage, or even WHEN it was administered- we would’ve had to try a couple+ different drugs trying to find the one that would actually work for whatever he was given.
We’re home now and he’s doing pretty well, finally in the condition that i expected to receive him in from Pet Savers. I do not recommend that clinic and feel incredibly guilty and like an awful pet parent for trying to take a shortcut on cost vs my normal vet doing the procedure- it wasn’t worth it and it caused my sweet boy so much extra unnecessary suffering and took a massive emotional toll on me, only to end up costing the same as my vet.
However i HIGHLY recommend CDA emergency vet if you’re ever unfortunate enough to need one. They’re amazing and still showed myself and so many others the best service and compassion at such a late hour when it’s really easy to get grumpy that you’re working. I was there between 8:10-11:45pm.

I also wanted to highlight our server Trinity, she had made us feel so welcome and cared for during our experience. Never did we have to worry about asking for refills she was already on it. She was also quick to help us clear our plates when we were done with our appetizers. The bathroom was very clean and so was the rest of the lobby.
I appreciate the tint on the windows as it blocks a lot of the sunlight but still keeps the room feeling open. It was nice to have some sun shining in and it made the lobby feel a lot larger. We had the beef Bulgogi and at this point we may be addicts for it. We will definitely be back :)

Today, we took home the Val Kilmer sampler., ribs, tri-tip, mac n cheese, coleslaw and the baked beans--so dang tasty!! By far, best bbq I've had in forever 😋 The baked beans are addictive. Trails End Brewery & Brick-oven Pizza

My go-to is the pulled pork nachos with either their house-made root beer or the lemon basil cider. The staff is always incredibly personable and takes such good care of us, which is a huge part of why we keep coming back.
It can definitely get a little noisy when it’s busy, but honestly, Trails End is such a CDA staple that I think everyone should go at least once. I absolutely love the outdoorsy theme and how they carry the “Trails End” concept throughout the entire restaurant. It gives the place so much personality without feeling overly themed or gimmicky.
Their outdoor seating is also fantastic, especially with the heaters they turn on during the fall, winter, and cooler days. It makes the patio actually enjoyable for much more of the year.
Even the tables have personality. They’re covered with brewery stickers from different states, and it’s little details like that that make the whole place feel fun, unique, and memorable.
Great food, great drinks, great people, and a really fun atmosphere. Trails End has been one of our favorites for years and continues to be one of those places we’re always happy to come back to.

We had several guests tell us that it’s some of the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, and it gave everyone the ability to choose what they wanted to eat based on preferences and dietary restrictions. Heather worked with us on ensuring one of our guests was able to eat by removing their allergens from some of the dishes. Definitely recommend!
