“Found Obsidian on Google and I'm so happy I chose them! I was able to make an appointment online same day, website was easy to use. The location is right off Pacific, easy parking. The inside has an awesome vibe, very clean too. My piercer was amazing, very friendly. Showed me a lot of different jewelry to chose from and he even helped me pick out what would look good for the piercing I wanted. The piercing itself only took a few minutes. Didn't even hurt!

“I can't speak highly enough about the quality and care of work here. I came to Gold Dust with an idea about a ring I wanted made. All I had was a general concept and extremely rough sketch (basically just crudely drawn letters on a napkin). I needed help envisioning the final product. I knew someone with enough artistic talent could bring this idea to life, but I myself had a real difficult time explaining how I wanted it to look or showing examples for similar work. Falon listened to what I wanted, discussed options, and made a plan. Falon worked on a few different concepts. One of them was exactly what I had envisioned, perfectly pulling the idea from my head and making it real. After the initial model was designed, I was already on board. I was ready to purchase and move forward.
Falon had more ideas about how to change the design to improve the over-all look. She could have sold me the ring as is, but instead she took additional time to make multiple changes and keep working on the ring until she thought it was perfect. The end result turned out so much better than I could have ever imagined. She used her talent and knowledge to create something far beyond what my expectations were.
I can't imagine going to anyone else to have a customer piece made. They've earned a customer for life.”

“I’ve taken a couple of metalsmithing classes here. The class size is small, which is great, but several students were working on multiple projects during each portion of the class. That ended up requiring a lot of extra time and attention from the instructor, which took away from others.
Even when I patiently waited for my turn, the instructor was often pulled away by another student, making it difficult to get the guidance I needed.
Setting a guideline of one project per portion of the class could help ensure everyone gets fair time and support. That said, the instructor is very knowledgeable and clearly skilled.”

“The visit was short, transaction was quick, and I was impressed. The price he gave me for the silver was a lot more than i imagined a small shop would offer. I pulled up in a beat up old car that we use to run errands at the shop because I let an employee of mine borrow my vehicle. I was worried they would judge me on the appearance and assume my coins were ill gotten but they absolutely did not. The gentleman that went through the coins I sold seemed to have a quick fact about everything I brought up and every coin I mentioned, even the foreign coins. That makes me want to come back and look around the shop to ask questions and learn about some historical coins.”
