181 Mathews Road, WashougalWe can’t recommend them enough! We travel for longer periods from time to time and the worst part is worrying about leaving our dogs, Toby and Clover. Our smaller pup in particular was always pretty anxious at other boarding facilities, but since bringing them here we sometimes wonder if they even want to come home at pick up (lol) because they have so much fun playing hard here. We have high standards, and trust them without question. Look no further - thank you Woof and Tumble!

The kids picked their tea flavor from the menu but were told there were only enough tapioca balls for 1 drink. I thought I might need to make them share, but the server rescued the situation by explaining they also had lychee boba, rainbow boba, and some strawberry or mango popping boba balls as options. I took some sips—hoowhee, it was sweet! (as boba tea usually is)—but the kids were satisfied, so I call it good. Maybe add the variety of boba ball options to the menu too?

3801 S Truman St #1, WashougalWe decided to give their newest location, a try. Having been fans of their original location down near the waterfront in amongst all of the warehouses. We could tell that things were a little choppy and irregular as they had just opened. One of the typical things that happens is service can get really slow and it did for us this evening as it took us more than 45 minutes to get our order which was basically just a couple of burgers which, by the way, we're really excellent. I would highly recommend the Smashburger. I'm curious to learn about the pizza. Perhaps on our next visit we can give that a try. The people are nice. They try to be very helpful. It's a nice addition to Washougal as when you get right down to it there aren't very many decent places to eat in Washougal that aren't chains so it's kind of cool to have this place open now.

2675 Index Street, WashougalWest Columbia Gorge Humane Society was such a fun shelter to visit. Their team is genuinely sweet, welcoming, and an absolute joy to be around. The kind of people who make you understand pretty quickly why their animals are so well cared for.
We were especially impressed by the care and attention given to their dogs. It was obvious that their comfort, happiness, and individual needs matter to the people looking after them, and we loved seeing everything the team does to give them the best experience possible while they wait for their homes.
Their cat shelter deserves some love too! The spacious, cozy catio was easily one of our favorite features. It was such a cool environment for the cats and another example of the thought they've put into making shelter life comfortable and enriching.
We visited while traveling with Bound By Dogs and filmed our tour as well, so anyone curious can find our visit for a closer look at the shelter, animals, and wonderful people behind it.
We left West Columbia Gorge Humane Society smiling. Great people, beautifully cared-for animals, and a team doing work we're very happy to support. 🐾
