“We visited the store for the first time and were very impressed with the customer service and selection of books. The book sections are well organized and easy to find what you're looking for. We came with a child and he felt very comfortable with books offered for children. In addition, the store sells other goods such as ink and fountain pens that I have not seen for long time in other book stores.”

“I brought my son to the Kenmore Snapdoodle salon for a haircut. As a two year old, haircuts in the past have been traumatic:) The staff here was so patient, supportive and made him feel like a king. We’ll be coming back here for every future cut.”

“I love this bookstore. It’s one of my favorite bookstores in the city. This holiday it was especially helpful when they wrapped the gifts I purchased there.“If this is such a great place why not 5 stars?”Well, reader, the parking lot is a trial. The spaces are so narrow that even in my compact car I can sometimes not even open my door enough to escape my vehicle. This was troublesome when I was able-bodied; now I walk with a cane and getting out of the car is already difficult enough as it is.And thus do I give four stars, because while it’s a great bookstore, the parking lot makes it less accessible.”

“Very comfortable bookstore to check out the latest books or ones you missed reading before. Staff is helpful and will order books for you if they don't currently have one you want. They always seem to come quickly.”

“Third Place is a terrific spot to visit when you're near the north end of Lake Washington. I can't think of a store that is better suited to browsing and seeing what's new.Being outside the Seattle city limits, parking is a breeze (and being in a shopping center with food, hardware, housewares, bakeries, .... you can do lots of things without moving your car)The bookstore is in an expansive, atrium like space, with a variety of food and drink and relaxation options sharing room with the bookshelves and wide aisles. The width of the aisles is particularly nice for me - being able to stand back a bit and crane my neck to look at titles makes browsing much more comfortable. They have a nice section of rarer books, as well as a section of autographed new titles, so there's always something interesting to see here.”

“This is a great place to visit, especially with kids. You can learn about watersheds, riparian zones and indigenous plant life. The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful elevated walk through the forest. You feel like you're in the middle of the woods. It's a great escape from the concrete jungle. I suggest becoming a member and visiting all year to see the changes.”

“The prices have gone up exponentially in the last year, which is so disappointing because I have referred so many people to Stargazers for their great prices and selection. I get it, “inflation” causes prices to increase, however it seems to me they are now gouging customers (the prices have increased by at least 30-50%).Customer service was great so no complaints in that respect. Can’t say if I will go back due to the increased prices.”

“I always appreciate the attentive help from the staff here and the good deals on curriculum and books. The seating area provides a welcome place to take a deeper look before finalizing purchases. I highly recommend stopping in for your homeschool needs and for general book-buying as well. Consignors accrue credit towards your own purchases. Remember to check their IG for updates on hours and consignment breaks.”

“Excellent book store! The store is well laid out and a nice option at the crossroads mall. I have been to several B &N and this one is top tier. Store is clean, staff is friendly and of course as a book lover, you get it all here. Definitely will be back and while there isn't a Starbucks in the store, there are pretty good options around the mall.”

“Small but awesome book store with a great selection of modern books. They have a nice children's and young adults section too. They also have cool puzzles and stationary cards. Great place!”

“Very cute independent bookstore, with an extremely knowledgeable and well-read owner. Every book I mentioned, he had read or knew about! That’s impressive! (Granted, I’m more “main stream” in my book selections, but still). There are some new releases available, with a large selection of gentle used in every genre imaginable. Shelves are not super well organized, but I think it adds to the charm and feels more like a treasure hunt. If you can’t find the title you are looking for, it can easily be ordered for you. Book Tree will be a place I visit often.”

“Thank god Seattle has an HPB. Two floors & so much to explore! Cool stuff to look at, moreso than the Half Prices I usually go to in TX. I hadddd to add a few (amazing) CDs to my collection when I visited. Hehe”

“I like B&N because I'm able to purchase books that I can't get at the library in a timely manner, and they have the latest books and comics that my kid loves. The kids section is well stocked, and there is even a little play table with large legos for the smaller ones to play with. There are also chairs in the kids section. The B&N has an attached Starbucks, which makes it super convenient to get a drink or snack. There's also seating and a small magazine rack near the Starbucks. As with most B&N bookstores, this one has cards, some stationary items, calendars, planners, and a nice puzzle and kids section. The manga section is also quite impressive! We upgraded our membership, and it is great! We still get our discount, we received a nice heavy duty book bag for free, and a coupon for $5 (or maybe it was $10) off the next purchase.”

“Each Christian Science church sponsors and staffs a Christian Science Reading Room as a healing resource in its local community. This Reading Room is sponsored by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Redmond. Christian Science Reading Rooms are open to everyone, not just Christian Scientists. Similar to libraries or bookstores, they offer a place to read, pray, gain inspiration, and borrow or purchase Bibles and other Christian Science literature, which aims to shed fresh light on the spiritual meaning of the Bible and one’s relationship with God. Reading Room staff members are happy to answer questions about Christian Science and share more of the Reading Room’s resources with visitors. We look forward to your visit!”
