What's The Scoop
208 4th St, Point PleasantWell this place is perfect. Imagine hunting the Mothman all day in this heat? What’s a better method of cooling done than some ice cream! Right next to the statue in downtown Point Pleasant. So many options they have the branding right also. The treats are named after various cryptids or topics related to the Mothman. It’s exactly what you should be doing. They have some apparel and knick-knacks to buy and some coin machines to last the time while ylu hang out and discuss various theories about how or what the Mothman is! I took mine to the water to look the amazing Ohio River (owned predominantly by WV) ;-) This coupled with the rest of the stuff in town is really making Point Pleasant a too destination for WV and cryptic hunters in general.

Mason County Animal Shelter
1965 Fairground Rd, Point PleasantThe Mason County animal shelter has greatly improved since the year since I’ve been there I went the other day and they have a wonderful updated area for visiting with animals to see if you like the animal or are compatible. They have a big room for the cats that’s very bougie. They have better areas for the dogs now as well areas for dogs that are sick or animals that are sick and need to be quarantined and they always need volunteers of course because they are understaffed because we have such problem with animals that are not claimed or abandoned so if you can help, please do Adopt don’t shop!!!
