208 4th Street, Point PleasantVelvet ice cream…including spumoni year round!! And they don’t play - I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a person pack ice cream into a cone the way the folks there do it. You get your fill money’s worth! The Mothman sundae is adorable and can be made with any flavor. The artwork, much of which is for sale, is genius - the upcycled thrift store paintings with Mothman added are great, and the ornament of the Mothman over the bridge collapsing is probably the most unique thing I’ve ever seen for sale in an ice cream shop. Your visit to Mothman country won’t be complete without a stop here.

The Coffee Grinder
330 Main Street, Point PleasantSweet little cafe. We stopped in to check out the Mothman area and for a little snack. The ladies working in the back were quick getting orders out. There was a table of 12 older ladies before us and we thought we would be there awhile since the cafe is small. To our suprise they whipped the orders out quickly! I had a greek salad and potatoe soup. Both were delicious. There were two gentleman working on their laptops and their music was at a respectable level. The bathroom was clean. Nice little cafe.

Mason County Animal Shelter
1965 Fairground Road, Point PleasantThe Mason County animal shelter has greatly improved since the year since I’ve been there I went the other day and they have a wonderful updated area for visiting with animals to see if you like the animal or are compatible. They have a big room for the cats that’s very bougie. They have better areas for the dogs now as well areas for dogs that are sick or animals that are sick and need to be quarantined and they always need volunteers of course because they are understaffed because we have such problem with animals that are not claimed or abandoned so if you can help, please do Adopt don’t shop!!!
