“What do we all look for in a mechanic repair shop? Right! It's here at European Car Service. Steve and his Team, Dan, and William, plus his lovely wife Paula on the service desk, are honest, transparent, and knowledgeable service techs for your car. They do specialize in foreign cars such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and even Saab, but will perform excellent repairs and maintenance on your family cars, also. I brought my Mercedes Benz S550 4Matic to them because the left front air suspension collapsed after I had the right side done at the dealership. Not only was the work performed correctly, the car was clean after picking it up, unlike the Mercedes dealership that the mechanic left grease on my sun visor and headliner!
I really cannot say enought about the many attributes and pluses as to why this is the best repair shop to bring your car for repairs. I highly recommend them, and I've been a car guy my entire life. This is numerous uno on my list!”

Because of some issues experienced the previous while driving , the snowy weather & mountain driving we decided to have our vehicle looked at before continuing our travels to NC.
I called VMS & the person answering the phone wasn't sure if they could look at it so took my number & called me back saying YES.
The vehicle required work that would take 3.5 hours. To avoid having to sit there with 2 dogs we decided to rent a hotel for the night. The owner, Kevin, found a nearby hotel and his daughter drove us to it because she wasn't going to let us ride in his "nasty old truck". LOL. I gathered a few items from the van to pass the time until our vehicle was brought back to us at the hotel when the brakes were finished.
After taking it for a test drive we got a call saying it also needs a master cylinder which they couldn't get until tomorrow so the owner, Kevin, came back to the hotel to bring me back to the shop to gather meds, dog food, & other needed items. He offered to take me to a store if we needed anything and drove me back to the hotel & will bring us the vehicle when finished.
People in this town are lucky to have this awesome business.”

“I was traveling from Dayton, OH to my home in Durham, NC in my 2018 Chevy Volt when my car stopped accelerating and I got the warning message Propulsion Power is Reduced. I pulled over and had my car towed to the closest Chevrolet service center, Joe Holland. They were friendly and professional, keeping me informed about the status of the diagnosis and repair. “Cross lanes auto center did not even put me into the system likely because I am female. I would recommend being very aware of car folks, but here in Charleston they were really professional and treated me like any other customer. I did not have any valves so could not put in tire rim but saw they could do this for low price. They mentioned it might take some time as it was a busy Sunday but they offered to take the tire and notify when it was done. I was texted the entire way through unlke exist cross lanes auto center. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they didn't mount it onto the car due to so much business but compared to everything else thats fine just maybe need to work on streamlining business is all. Thank you”
