“This quiet, clean, and nicely located B&B was a great stay. I spent 3 nights here, while in South Milwuakee for work and would recommend it for anyone trying to decide where to stay. The outdoor patio space was a nice place to have an evening glass of wine and my morning coffee. My room was great, with crisp bed linens, a jacuzzi tub and huge walk in shower. Bonus....coffee/beverage station right across from my door, which I greatly enjoyed! Most importantly, the breakfasts were AMAZING, delicious, generous portions and did I mention, amazing?! I looked forward to each morning and I was so happy for the 8 am knock on my door letting me know breakfast was served! Give this place a try!”

“We attended a wedding here, so we have a limited view, but from the perspective of a wedding guest, it was excellent! Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, huge bars, plentiful restrooms, and very beautiful plants all over the place! Very much worth a look as a wedding venue!”

“This was such a fun event. I really liked that they had different times for certain ages so that there weren’t really young kids with older ones. There weren’t any lines and my daughter had lots of fun. One thing I really liked what the pricing of water. You could get a bottle for $2 which I appreciated. We will definitely do it again.”

“We got married at The Cooperage in late May 2025 and worked closely with Maddie to plan the day. While communication was a tad rocky at the start, that quickly flipped and Maddie was AMAZING!! When you think girl boss, Maddie should be the first person that comes to mind. Leading up to the wedding day, Maddie made sure all our questions were answered, took the time to explain details to us and our options, and really just made the whole experience of planning a wedding from daunting to enjoyable. When it came to the day of the wedding, Maddie was on-site ready to go with her team as soon as the venue opened and it looked STUNNING inside. Her and my day of coordinator worked together and truly made me have the best day of my life. I couldn't be more grateful for everything Maddie and her team did. The bartenders at the Cooperage were amazing and there is no other word to describe it. I had multiple guests come up to me saying how awesome the bartenders were and their drinks were absolutely delicious. There was a point about an hour before walking down the aisle where we were taking pictures and one of the bartenders comes up to me with my signature cocktail for me - INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! And don't even get me started on the food. Holy crap. The food at our wedding was THE most complimented part of the wedding. The appetizers we choose were better than when we came in and tasted. So many compliments here and that people didn't have room for the actual meal because of how good the apps were. And the actual food, we ended up going with the BBQ and that was the best decision we could have possibly made. Again, so many compliments on the quality of the meat, how creamy the mac and cheese was, and everything in between. I want to have another event at the Coop just so I can eat all the food again! The last thing I will mention is that Maddie helped us get in contact with the Airbnb owner. The Airbnb is located right above the Cooperage, so we had a beautiful space for my bridesmaids and me to get ready the morning of that was incredibly convenient. Overall, if you are a laid back Bride and Groom who are looking for a great space and team to work with, look no further than the Cooperage!”

“Always welcoming and helpful when making a selection. Wine tasting events are super cool and fun. I bring all of my out of town friends for a glass/bottle of wine to enjoy in the store. No corkage fee! Funky decor and good music. Parking is never an issue.”

Josh and Amber are great instructors and take the time to work with their students. They are knowledgeable and are very welcoming. The environment they created has made me feel safe during my dancing journey. The advanced students are very helpful, understanding and friendly.”

Jennifer and her team were great to work with, the ballroom is elegant, and the entire day was smooth. The best part was the outdoor space. “An awesome center for learning how to sail! Small class sizes, hands on and practical learning. They provide everything you need, including boats. From racing to pleasure sailing. Wonderfully priced and a great time. Looking to get into sailing, definitely recommend looking here!”

“I was there for the Black Excellence Awards ceremony. The center is very spacious, the servers were polite and attentive, and the bathroom was very clean. The food was just okay. We had chicken with mixed vegetables and potatoes. The dessert was pound cake, and it was set on the table with the salad. By the time we finished dinner and was ready to eat dessert, the pound cake was starting to get hard. It was less than desirable. During the reception, there was plenty of coffee, but the creamer containers were empty fairly quickly. Needless to say, I didn't get coffee. They had 2 bars in the reception area, so if you didn't get a drink before you head into the dining area, water was at the table. Lastly, there was plenty of parking.”

“My favorite place to play hockey. The locker rooms are large and well-maintained. Probably the cleanest and least smelly in the area. The ice is well tended to, without any bumpy areas around the boards or where the Zamboni goes in and out.”

“What an experience in the heart of Milwaukee! Great host, nice, safe setting complete with authentic tacos and real margaritas. They did an excellent job and my group couldn't have been happier with then end result of our board painting and dinner. Excellent value for this experience. A true gem.”

“I've been meaning to check out NO Studios for a long time- whether via their music series, community speakers and events, their Saki tasting events; NO has a lot going on! Founded by film director/writer/producer John Ridley, NO has a strong connection to film. I had the pleasure of seeing a film screening here in May 2022! My barber made a short film! The screening room is incredible- with two tiers of comfy seats, more films, please! NO is stylish, and there's a full bar with affordable drink prices and friendly staff. This place has a very locally supportive mission, and I picked up some locally design NO swag for my niece's birthday. I can't wait for my next visit to NO, and definitely considering that membership option!”

“Went there for this years Dickens Dinner and it was beyond beautiful! The carolers had great voices and it was a great immersive experience. The original movie was projected above the carolers, which i thought was a nice touch :)
I got Marcella as my server and she took very good care of my table! She was very funny and attentive.! The vegetarian option was super yummy.”

“Birch was a beautiful venue to have our wedding! We got married 6/23/24. We loved the outside area for our ceremony. We thought it was the perfect size for everyone at the wedding! Through the multiple people we worked with everyone was so kind and helpful. They made sure our questions were answered promptly!

We specifically worked with Annie as our on site manager! I could go on and on about how helpful and amazing she was! She was so helpful with anything we needed and was so organized. She really helped us make our day perfect! She went above and beyond and we really appreciated the time she gave us wether it was touring the place multiple times for our photographer and helpers to see, or at the rehearsal dinner and giving us a run down of the day! We truly loved working with Annie (and anyone who talked with her at the wedding loved her too)!! She and her team are the reason things ran so smoothly the day of our wedding! THANK YOU SO MUCH ANNIE!!!

We also used sound by design and couldn’t recommend a better DJ! Conner was amazing!! We let them mainly pick the music for our wedding and they did such a great job keeping people of all ages on the dance floor!”

“Absolutely gorgeous historical building, but with such a touch of elegance, flare and class! We I also love that everything took place in one building. They exchanged their wedding vows the chairs were all set up appropriately. it was a beautiful ceremony. Then we went on for cocktail hour. I’m not sure who the vendor was? But let me tell you it was a charcuterie full of aged cheeses, and all different kinds of Italian meats and sausages. Delicious scrumptious fig spreads with fresh fruit all different types of nuts of variety of different breads and crackers. Then approximately an hour later, it was dinner time. The curtains opened, and the bride and groom came bursting and dancing with the song of their choice and everyone welcomed them as a newly married couple. They danced one song, and then they announced it was time for dinner. Again the food was amazing. It was all Puerto Rican food. Everything from empanadas to Puerto Rican rice just absolutely delicious. I did also notice that the venue owner was going around and filling in wherever he could to help his staff. The staff was absolutely amazing. Clearing tables taking out garbage. I always saw them working extremely hard but they wouldn’t be noticed in the wedding at all.. I actually had a chance to meet with the new owner and he was extremely nice and I told him how beautiful the historic building was. This is definitely a beautiful venue to have your next wedding, baby or bridal shower, reunion, birthday party, or Anniversary party. You definitely want to get a hold of this place! You will not be disappointed!!. Absolutely gorgeous & stunning!!!!”

Between the city views, Deer District Location, and "blank canvas" it provides we were able to celebrate our wedding in our style. The Bucks and Levy staff were always friendly, responsive, and helpful! They were also flexible in offering solutions for my various crazy ideas. My team (who did day of coordination) said everything ran super smoothly behind the scenes and it was of course fabulous for our guests as well! “Attended a post wedding dinner & reception here on 7/27/24. A beautiful, clean, spacious space. Amazing staff. So friendly and attentive and transformed cleaned areas without even being seen.(food, tables etc) 2nd level balcony, made 4 amazing photo spots and an area to enjoy the beautiful weather. Beautiful brick and lighting and areas 4 amazing backdrop 4 photos. Nice private space for bride and bridesmaids. Not sure if the food was provided by venue but it was delicious.”
