“Wonderful weekend at Churchill Inn! Smaller hotel with the feeling of home. They do a breakfast that is amazing. They have several options and a hot dish daily...potato pancakes were our favorite. The owners work on site and take pride in the themed rooms that are CLEAN. Support staff greeted us and were friendly. The gal waiting tables was super sweet. What impressed me most is that we had a concern during our stay....nothing that was the fault of the Inn, but they made it RIGHT...not just oh sorry. We have stayed before and we will stay again. Five stars!! Thank you for making our stay fun!”

“This is a nicely kept older resort. Everything was clean and rooms were very comfortable. If you want relaxation, stay here. You are greeted with a smile and shown to your room. They have a large eating area and an awesome breakfast. You take your room number and select the table you want for breakfast, way cool ? Homemade cinnamon coffee cake, Swedish pancakes, sausage, fruit, coffee, juice, selection of bread, and some of the best cherry jelly around. Books, games, and a stunning view. What more do you need.”

“This was the perfect place for a girls weekend. I picked this place due to the amenities and when we arrived, we were surprised with more! Snacks and libations in the lobby for purchase, fire pits galore, live singing entertainment, etc. we got the evergreen suite and it was perfect for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms (2 each) were clean, spacious, and beautiful. We will definitely be returning. 3 minutes away from a delicious Thai/sushi restaurant hidden away.”

“The room with the king-sized bed has two comfortable chairs, a TV, a microwave, coffee service, and a refrigerator. My husband and I hit it during the third week in October, when the weather is changeable and many services are shutting down either next week or November 2. The trees are beautiful, just changing to their full fall glory. With the lake in whitecaps because of wind and few tourists and people who fish, this is a great time to experience upper Door County.”
“We had a great experience here! The building was charming and made for a quiet stay, and Carly is very welcoming and friendly. The room was incredibly clean and cozy, we couldn't remember the last time we stayed in a hotel room that was as clean. Mold, mildew, and other allergens are always a concern in hotels and there was no sign of that here. They also use green cleaning methods, no air fresheners or harsh chemicals. If you're someone who is specific about your environment, then this clean and green place is a great option!”

“You can’t beat the location! We’ve stayed at places that are 2-3x the price and this was by far better. Set back on main strip it’s quiet and immaculate. I also left some very valuable items in our room and they were prompt in response and returned them to me quickly. Very honest people as well.”
“Located in a more quiet area of Door County with cute bunnies scattered across the back lawn, breakfast delivered to our door, a beautiful balcony view, and a rustic interior. Beds were comfy and we had a warm welcome.
The beaches out back are more for strolling than swimming and the bathroom layout was a bit weird, but nothing too difficult.
We would absolutely come back.”

“Excellent, tidy, comfortable accommodations. Everything you need is there. It looks old fashioned in that the decor is not modern but it works for this place. Everything is very well kept and clean. You could walk to downtown Sister Bay if you wanted to and the Piggly Wiggly is a short drive in the other direction. We were within 25min of all of the things we wanted to do here ranging from the lake to fish boil, wine and beer tasting to pottery shops. We loved this place, will recommend it to others and will stay again. Thank you Scandinavian Lodge!!!”

“Birchwood Lodge is a great value, just off the main strip in Sister Bay. Sister Bay's attractions are easily walkable from the hotel, however, get ready for a workout walking up the steep hill on the way back!
Rooms were nice, absolutely loved the shower! Rooms had amenities, such as whirlpool tub, refrigerator, microwave, fireplace, and balcony.
There's plenty of parking in the lot behind the hotel.
There's no breakfast offered, no market or quick grab & go options, and no vending machines, so be prepared to bring your own food or drinks in, or walk down to Sister Bay to grab something. Birchwood Lodge would get 5 stars, if there was some food or drinks available, but other than that this is an amazing value that's close to everything Sister Bay has to offer.”
“Edgewater is a gem. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The water view is outstanding ! The rooms have everything you need and more, great caring staff too. We highly recommend the Edgewater.”
“I recently stayed at Hillside Inn at 11934 WI-42, in Ellison Bay, WI. The Inn provides a great value just outside of Sister Bay. The rooms are.vwey nice and was perfect for my stay in the area. The staff is very nice and helpful if I had any questions. I wish on that the Hugel Restaurant would have been open on my stay. I have heard so much good on it. The rooms have a nice view of the Bay.
Rooms: Very nice tooms”
