A few years ago, a deer jumped onto my car on my way home and my car had pretty significant damage. I originally had it repaired at Midwest Auto, but issues showed up later—my automatic lights and surround sensors didn’t work (which I didn’t notice right away), and eventually the paint on the repaired panel started falling off. Turns out it was a patch job.
By the time I went back to get it looked at, Midwest Auto had been acquired by Gerber. I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but after they reviewed everything and spoke with corporate, they stepped up and made it right. I also worked with Progressive, who agreed to cover the damage caused by the original repair.
Gerber replaced the entire quarter panel, properly recalibrated my sensors, and even replaced my windshield as a precaution due to rust from the initial repair. I didn’t pay a dime! Everything was covered between Gerber and insurance.
They didn’t just stand behind their own work, they took responsibility for a situation they didn’t create. That says a lot.”
