Hillside Animal Hospital: Maloney Lehua DVM
W5706 State Road 33, La CrosseTook our little Luna the hedgehog to Hillside after getting her as a rescue. She hadn’t had the best experience with people, but I wanted her to have a checkup to ensure everything was okay. They were amazing. Took their time to make sure Luna was as comfortable as she could be while also making sure she was healthy. Definitely would recommend them ?

Hillside Animal Hospital
W5706 State Hwy 33 Trunk, La CrosseHillside is a wonderful place to work with. We had literally just moved to the area and our pet got into some cleaning products. We didnt know any vets in the area but needed an emergency appt late one night. Not only were they able to accommodate us, they worked within our budget, and provided the best possible care for our pet. Our pet truly wouldnt have made it without the help of their staff and I highly recommend them.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Fathead Steve's
324 Jay St, La CrosseStandard bar setup. But the Viet pork sandwich was great. Had these nice lightly spicy cucumber pickles, a standard Viet veg mix on it. And some pretty spot on pork. Juicy and tender. Oh and the curly fries were a good contrast to the soft sandwich.

Pearl Street Brewery
1401 St Andrew St, La CrosseStopped in @ noon open on Sunday. Being the first & only one at the bar for a bit I had a chance to chat up the friendly beertender Jenna. She helped me build a flight and gave me two samples of beers that piqued my interest... Spruce-A-Lool and Shitty Lyte Beer. Of the five bees I tasted... all were wonderfully delicious. As I exclaimed about the Spruce-A-Lootel "it's not offensive like I assumed and was pleasantly palatable". The Shitty Lyte beer I expected to taste like a regular domestic... had a little..something to it, I can't describe it, but a little punch. Jenna was attentive and funny my whole visit despite the bar filling up w customers. All the customers were equally as funny as we all talked and joked. Don't skip past Pearl Street and your directions are correct when it reads to take a left in to what looks like an apartment parking lot... you go the short distance past that to Pearl Street. I liked that the brewery really covered your palate with light to hoppy to malty and flavorful. I really enjoyed the Siberian Disco Toasted Stout and Java Lava Coffee Stout. I also enjoyed my Old Fashioned, they have a menu of cocktails as well. I definitely won't be waiting another four years for my third stop in to Pearl Street. Thanks Jenna for an afternoon of delicious beer over laughter and brewery styles and beers, cheers!

608 Brewing Company
83 Copeland Ave, La CrosseI love this brewery! Easy parking, fun taproom, and outdoor seating! I've enjoyed most of their beers. They have a rotating selection, so I often decide to get a flight! I think it's great that they have a location in Holmen as well.

La Crosse Distilling Co.
129 Vine St, La CrosseWe’ve been here several times and always had an incredible experience, but our visit last night was absolutely top notch; mainly because of our server, Mame. She was an absolute gem and wonderful with our kids. She instantly connected with them, laughing and joking every time she came by. Food was amazing, drinks were top-notch, and service was second to none.

The Restaurant at The Charmant Hotel
101 State St, La CrosseWe were solo for Thanksgiving and weren't sure where we should go for dinner, but the Charmant was a wonderful choice. All the food was fabulous, but the brussel sprouts were to die for! My I husband ordered the Thanksgiving dinner, and I got several sides. The only dish which was kind of meh were the mashed potatoes. It may have been because I had the w/o the gravy, but the other sides and the dessert(s) made up for it.
