“Located on a main thoroughfare Forty Winks Inn is a clean, quiet and uniquely styled lodging located in the suburb of Wauwatosa on the outskirts of Milwaukee. It is listed as a 2 star hotel which is appropriate. The lodging and rooms have a somewhat dated feel, and there are no food services or sundries per se (you can get shamppoo/conditioner if you ask), but everything was exceptionaly clean, the room was large, the bed comfortable and though the bathroom was quite small, it served it's purpose. Room included a microwave, refrigerator and and 32inch TV with a decent number of channels. All rooms are in a single, window lined hallway facing the parking lot/street. Rooms and building entry are accessible with a tradtional key. The room rates were reasonable in my opinion. As a side note, there weren't any restaurants within a short distance if that is important to you. I stayed here after reading most of these reviews; I was not disappointed. Most important was a clean room and comfortable bed, both of which fit the bill here.”

“The star of this show was Lucy. Not only were the rooms great and the amenities appealing. Lucy was kind and made an amazing breakfast. Way better than what you get at an express. Highly recommend to those in the Milwaukee area.”
“Cant say much about the stay, had checked in here by accident due to some miscommunications with my team and I had to cancel same day to go to the intended location. Desk staff was super chill and understanding. Rooms are a bit dated from the glimpse i got though. Still 5 stars, saved my butt twice.”

“I grew up here and moved away 35 years ago but still come to visit. I tried this hotel in this beautiful downtown area with shops and restaurants galore to please just about anybody's tastes and this room was really nice.
I got the old school hotel feeling you'd get from a hotel built in the early 1900's but certain things updated like TV's and office accessories.
Aside from the self check in, which they provide a number to call and they walk you thru just a couple easy, basic steps, and the parking two blocks away, it's a great experience and I encourage anyone coming to this awesome and growing town to stay here.
It's quaint and classy without breaking they bank. I'm coming back here for a long weekend and staying here in the heart of downtown and at this rather unique and exquisite hotel.”

“Trendy Spartenesque is the way I'd describe this hotel. The lobby had hanging wicker chairs, a pool table, a large sofa in front of a TV, desks, etc - separate hang out areas. Has white boards to write down your favorite local restaurants. I chose this hotel because I always read the reviews before selecting one and the review that stood out for this one was how CLEAN it is. I can attest to that. The rooms are immaculate. There were fingerprint smudges on the desk when I arrived but I write that up to the cleaning person overlooking wiping it down. Everything else was sterile. Pillows are squishy. I loved that. Water pressure in the shower is great - another thing I worry about in a hotel. The rooms though are like sleeping in a college dormitory with a king size bed. They are efficiently laid out. I wouldn't stay again because this isn't my vibe being that I'm over 60! But - in this area, it was the only hotel that got good reviews for cleanliness so it worked.”
“I REALLY loved every aspect of this hotel. I have stayed in several Mwaukee hotels and this one really touched my soul. Not only was the concierge lounge warm and welcoming, the staff was friendly. Yes, parking was $12 and you must secure using the QR Code or app because it is through a 3rd party company.”

“We ended up at the Ingleside due to not having any hot water for a few days - it was a LOVELY room, very clean, and the shower was amazing.
We were on the first floor, closer to the water park, so there was some noise during the day, but it wasn't a problem for us. Lots of parking and it felt quiet despite being close to the interstate.
Would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.”

“We are travelers as our profile shows, we travel alot. This place well exceeded our expectations being a last min booking. Room was clean and smelled clean. Bring a blanket a though it can get very cold unless you turn the AC off and nobody likes quiet. Service was amazing, we had an opportunity to purchase some drinks and take them up to our room when they had just shut the bar down. Super cool restaurant and pub. Next to the airport which had several planes land and take off love watching those. If we make it back to Milwaukee, we will definitely stay here.”

You can place an order of food from the kitchen. Very Clean room / bathroom. The Sofa Bed Area has an Entertainment Section. The Staff is Awesome!! Shout Out To: 1) Bartenders: Zach, and Char 2) Front Desk Staff Member: Mia, who helped my with my Early Check In (Over the phone before arriving), 3) the ENTIRE Front Desk Crew, and 4) ENTIRE The Cleaning Staff!! Everyone was extremely accommodating! I'll definitely be back.! My New FAVE!Rooms: Very Clean with plenty of Towels. The Shower wall is stocked with Soap, Shampoo, etc. The Business Desk & Connections are in the Room. The sofa bed and coffee/ tea / fridge setup, is sectioned away from the main bed. Large TV.Nearby activities: 18 to 20 Minutes from Downtown / Airport. 12 to 15 Minutes from Wauwatosa / Wauwatosa Mall.Snow Tubbing in Franklin. Domes. SummerFest. FIServ / NBA Milwaukee Bucks.Safety: Nice Area / North Side of town, near where I grew up. You DON'T see anyone wandering around the streets.Food & drinks: Lobby Bartender. Kitchen.”

We came in early (prior to check in) on the motorcycles and had ridden through a rain storm. The front desk accommodated us the best she could until our room was clean and ready for check in.”

Our stay was for a family members Home going. We live over 5 hours away.
From the minute we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and kindness from everyone.
Alicia Was absolutely amazing. Her personality is true meaning of Customer service. She is able to adapt to each person‘s emotions and personality which makes Her true leadership and warming the hearts of customer service. Everyone was friendly, the young man that was Well, put together at the Starbucks, coffee area, friendly as well. Even the housekeeper, she had a warm spirit and kind heart super friendly. If I was able to change anything, it would probably be the air air-conditioning. It didn’t have knobs. It was kind of hard to rest. A make over in the rooms would be nice.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good and different every day, and the hotel staff was friendly and took care of every request within minutes. Kay went out of her way to find us the one item we forgot to pack. It was a busy Summerfest weekend and the only reason I give location 4 stars is highway construction made it about twice as long to get to the venue as we thought, but that's not their fault. We would definitely come back.”
