“We spent a few nights here visiting Milwaukee from out of state. Willhelm was awesome, spending time to show us a map of the city with things we could do! Super helpful! “My husband and I along with some of our family and friends stayed at the Dubbel Dutch for our wedding weekend in Milwaukee and we all had such a great experience! They were able to accommodate my in-laws with their ADA accessible amenities. Check in has super helpful directions and there was ample parking. The room was stunning and we had so much room for getting ready the morning of the wedding as well as having some family over before they departed after the weekend was over. Kelly and Rachel were fantastic to work and communicate with and were overall so warm and welcoming. Would gladly stay again and highly recommend!”
“I loved my stay here, but what impressed me even more was the service I received after my visit. I had a billing issue and didn’t discover it until I expensed my stay for work. I called the hotel and Medina (excuse any misspellings) listened to my issue with concern, took down my information, and told me she would speak with her manager. I received a phone call back about 90 minutes later with a resolution above and beyond what I expected. I will certainly be back when visiting Milwaukee!”

“Historical Hotel, so you can understand the dated rooms. The literally use keys not fobs for doors. You have to check in either online or on a pad before you go to the desk, which I find silly. The person at the front desk should explain you need the fob the give you for parking to get out of parking lot. We returned our keys and the fob got to the gate with our card and realized we couldn't get out of the lot without it. Again silly. All and all a nice affordable hotel.”

“My husband and I were married at Iron Horse about 10 years ago and we try to visit a couple times a year just to get a night away from the kiddos. Normally we are blown away by the immaculate rooms, incredible food, and overall impeccable service.
Sadly this visit was discouraging.
Perhaps we stayed in a different type of room in the past, but the fridge has always been stocked and there were always little extras in the room for us. This time, there was nothing - not even glasses or cups. No robes like usual. The bathroom floor was dirty and the door to the shower was broken. There was a loud clicking noise coming from the venting that kept me awake nearly all night. The TV remote did not work.
We visited Branded for dinner. The bartender was great and very friendly. The food was not great I'm afraid. The fries were cold. The steak strips were seasoned well, but more than half of it was completely fat. I promise I am not exaggerating. There was one non fatty bite on each strip. We could not eat most of it.
We still love the Iron Horse, but I definitely hope things are better for our next visit.”
“Christy with Guest Services went absolutely above and beyond for my family during our travels. One of my family members accidentally left a bag at the Amtrak station, and without hesitation, Christy immediately went back to the station to help retrieve it. She handled the entire situation with such kindness, urgency, and professionalism, which made an incredibly stressful moment so much easier for us.
I work in hospitality myself, so I know exceptional service when I see it - Christy exemplifies it. Her willingness to step in, problem-solve, and genuinely care about our situation was truly remarkable. Thank you, Christy! “Met expectations. Nice sized room that was clean with a good bed and linens. Breakfast was the brand's staples which is average. Quiet location for the most part as well. 10 min walk to the lakefront which helps if there are events there. Valet was $40, which was more than expected.”
“We love staying at this hotel when we come to Milwaukee. They have the best cocktail bar with a rooftop. The rooms are always nice and welcoming, love the fireplace in the rooms.”

“Came here for a basketball tournament. The staff was amazing. Great customer service. Rooms need more lighting was a little dark. I love how they had more than one washing machine and dryer. Some hotels only have one. Breakfast was also good.”

“I didn't like that we had to walk through the casino to get to the hotel. No parking for the hotel part unless you use valet. No smoking inside but no easy access to my vehicle to smoke outside.”
“Very close to the airport, very well decorated and clean main floor and shared spaces. The staff was really kind and they had cute grab and go bags with adorable hand drawn drawings on them which just would brighten up anyone's day (the staff member who did them needs a raise and is very kind! I think her name was ROZ). The room itself was clean however the pool and hot tub area (there was like green broccoli like stuff floating in the hot tub and the corners were black) were a bit dirty and the walls in the elevator, walls in the halls, and walls on the door were visibility dirty (however I'm assuming they are tough stains that are hard to get out and the only way to fix them would be repaint which is probably very expensive and difficult to coordinate for a busy hotel near the airport). I would stay here again happily if I needed to bring someone to the airport early ☺!”

You can place an order of food from the kitchen. Very Clean room / bathroom. The Sofa Bed Area has an Entertainment Section. The Staff is Awesome!! Shout Out To: 1) Bartenders: Zach, and Char 2) Front Desk Staff Member: Mia, who helped my with my Early Check In (Over the phone before arriving), 3) the ENTIRE Front Desk Crew, and 4) ENTIRE The Cleaning Staff!! Everyone was extremely accommodating! I'll definitely be back.! My New FAVE!Rooms: Very Clean with plenty of Towels. The Shower wall is stocked with Soap, Shampoo, etc. The Business Desk & Connections are in the Room. The sofa bed and coffee/ tea / fridge setup, is sectioned away from the main bed. Large TV.Nearby activities: 18 to 20 Minutes from Downtown / Airport. 12 to 15 Minutes from Wauwatosa / Wauwatosa Mall.Snow Tubbing in Franklin. Domes. SummerFest. FIServ / NBA Milwaukee Bucks.Safety: Nice Area / North Side of town, near where I grew up. You DON'T see anyone wandering around the streets.Food & drinks: Lobby Bartender. Kitchen.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good and different every day, and the hotel staff was friendly and took care of every request within minutes. Kay went out of her way to find us the one item we forgot to pack. It was a busy Summerfest weekend and the only reason I give location 4 stars is highway construction made it about twice as long to get to the venue as we thought, but that's not their fault. We would definitely come back.”
“The entry is nice and smells great!! Staff was friendly and accommodating. The only hiccup I found is with the rooms not having a curtain that blocks out the light only a sheer pull down shade.
And if you ever go to a hotel where there are children...take the top floor because it could be a restless night.”
