“I left with tears of joy and a bag of gummy bears. It does not get better than that! My sleep was terrific. The soap/shampoo left me feeling awesome. (It was better than my go-to wash I brought. And I got to practice ukulele. My exit started with an elevator ride with the most lovely of lovely head bellmen, (Whom I'm remembering also helped me when I arrived navigate an easy path to work.) He then instructed his valet with the most respect and kindness. I checked out at the front desk. A lady with shorter red hair and a dark-haired gentleman were so kind, intuitive, and welcoming it brought me to tears. I was struck by the interaction and their warmth. (So, now I'm in tears...and needed to take a second to take it all in and appreciate the moment.) When I walked outside, I was super surprised to see the valet was still at my drivers' door ready to help me into my truck. He made sure I had everything I needed. This service was crazy for the room rate. I will be traveling back with my husband.”
“Stayed for my birthday 5 stars all the way around. Mia did my check and she was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and in a prime location. The food and service were good. The staff and even the guest were friendly. Thanks much ??.”
“Great service from the front desk, restaurant and cleaning. The Westin continues to live up to their standards for a great sleep experience. My only feedback is that parts of the hotel seemed dated. I’ve noticed in general lately that Marriott does not seem to be investing as much into their existing properties.”

“My husband and I along with some of our family and friends stayed at the Dubbel Dutch for our wedding weekend in Milwaukee and we all had such a great experience! They were able to accommodate my in-laws with their ADA accessible amenities. Check in has super helpful directions and there was ample parking. The room was stunning and we had so much room for getting ready the morning of the wedding as well as having some family over before they departed after the weekend was over. Kelly and Rachel were fantastic to work and communicate with and were overall so warm and welcoming. Would gladly stay again and highly recommend!”
“What a great hotel!! Right next to historic 3rd and close to the river walk. Rooms were affordable and clean. Truly one of the most beautiful buildings I've stayed in.Rooms: Rooms were clean and comfy. High ceilings were cool.Nearby activities: I mean walk a block any direction and there's something to do.Safety: Pretty safe part of town.Walkability: Very walkable city!”
“I loved my stay here, but what impressed me even more was the service I received after my visit. I had a billing issue and didn’t discover it until I expensed my stay for work. I called the hotel and Medina (excuse any misspellings) listened to my issue with concern, took down my information, and told me she would speak with her manager. I received a phone call back about 90 minutes later with a resolution above and beyond what I expected. I will certainly be back when visiting Milwaukee!”
“We stayed at BrewHouse Inn & Suites for our entire wedding weekend and reserved a block for our guests - we couldn’t have been happier with the experience! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, beautifully blending historic charm with exposed brick accents that give everything a warm, timeless feel. One of the standout features was the stunning Copper Kettle Atrium, where we hosted our cocktail hour and took some of our favorite wedding day photos—it’s such a unique and unforgettable space. Every part of the team—from the friendly front desk staff to the attentive event coordinators, catering, and bartenders—went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. Their professionalism and genuine care made our wedding weekend truly special and stress-free.”
“Nice hotel in downtown Milwaukee area that is getting updated!
Nearby activities: Close to several music venues is what I went for.

“My husband and I were married at Iron Horse about 10 years ago and we try to visit a couple times a year just to get a night away from the kiddos. Normally we are blown away by the immaculate rooms, incredible food, and overall impeccable service.
Sadly this visit was discouraging.
Perhaps we stayed in a different type of room in the past, but the fridge has always been stocked and there were always little extras in the room for us. This time, there was nothing - not even glasses or cups. No robes like usual. The bathroom floor was dirty and the door to the shower was broken. There was a loud clicking noise coming from the venting that kept me awake nearly all night. The TV remote did not work.
We visited Branded for dinner. The bartender was great and very friendly. The food was not great I'm afraid. The fries were cold. The steak strips were seasoned well, but more than half of it was completely fat. I promise I am not exaggerating. There was one non fatty bite on each strip. We could not eat most of it.
We still love the Iron Horse, but I definitely hope things are better for our next visit.”
“I had a 2 nite stay in a standard room. Highlights for me include the location and the service. While it’s not right in downtown, it’s across from the Juneau Beer Garden, a block away from Monica’s and County Clare, 4 blocks from a convenience store, 1/4 mile from Cathedral Square Park, has an adjoining bar/restaurant, and is a 6-7 minute drive to downtown.
The service was the real highlight for me. I had some issues with my room- smells, entry, accessibility, etc. The staff did everything to try to resolve my issues. Even though not everything could be resolved, I still was able to enjoy my stay.
The bed was very comfortable - not too soft or firm but nicely supportive, has a kitchenette stocked with glasses and dishware, large closet spaces, actually good bathroom towels that aren’t stiff and starchy, and a lot of great movie channels on Direct TV on which I enjoyed several movies at night.
A few things to remember-
-It is an older building so accessibility for non-ambulatory wheelchair users may not be an option.
-The drains are a bit slow and the water pressure is soft. There are no grab bars anywhere in the bathroom.
-The toilet is on the smaller size
-There’s no central ac, but there is a window AC. Mine worked great however it was noisy and had seen better days.
The lighting is fine. The usual modern bedside lamps with outlets attached, and wall lighting fixtures that work and seem to be originals.
Giant closets in my room, great for storing a mobility aid or lots of clothes and belongings.
The lobby and grounds are pretty grand and beautiful. There’s a little sitting room with vending, ice, and coffee for purchase. I was glad to be able to buy a few bottles of water for my room.
Accessibility in and out of the hotel is great, equipped well with working automatic doors and lots of space.
Lastly, security is great. The front entry is only accessible with your room key (real keys by the way!) at night/after hours. There no other way to get in to the building for guests other than there, or the restaurant which closes early-ish.
I could hear seagulls outside in the morning and occasional doors closing and some talking. Other than that it was quiet.
If you don’t mind/are able to sacrifice a few small modern comforts in exchange for a beautiful historic building and attentive, caring staff, I would recommend Knickerbocker!”
“Syreeta at the front desk was AMAZING. Customer service was top notch and she was very kind to me. Anything I needed she was able to provide. She has a very positive attitude and she made me feel welcome at the hotel. The hotel itself is in a great location and the room was very nice.”
“I stayed in the room with a separate bath. Really spacious, clean and nicely furnished with lots of storage space. Comfortable bed. Only complaint is that the comforter was paper thin. If you stay in the winter ask for an extra comforter when you check in. Great value for about $200.”

“Came here for a basketball tournament. The staff was amazing. Great customer service. Rooms need more lighting was a little dark. I love how they had more than one washing machine and dryer. Some hotels only have one. Breakfast was also good.”

“We were initially put here due to a flight diversion. The hotel is clean. Breakfast is OK but there is a Night Shift person Courtney, who was absolutely amazing. Provided the best customer service we had had all day.!!! Courtney absolutely deserves a raise!”
“Everything was very clean and refreshed when we checked in, and the guy at the counter was amiable and chill. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub with other guests and it was quiet, everything was in service. We had a tub which I appreciate after combing through lots of hotels in the area that only had showers (it is one of our must-haves!) You can hear the airport, but hey it's the big city. And it's nestled a few blocks away from big traffic, so the noise isn't right at your door. Will come back again when visiting MKE :)Rooms: It is nice to have a tabletop TV. My partner has poor eyesight and can't really see the smaller wall mounted TVs that hotels typically have. Everything is pretty standard for a hotel In this price range which is comforting and no surprises.”
“Good experience overall if you are itching for some gambling action in the city of Milwaukee. With the addition of sports betting and poker to make a return there is something for everyone's gambling preference. There are several options for food on premise and plenty of other food options in the area. Close to public transportation for out of townees. Would recommend pairing a weekend when there is some live entertainment in town at the many venues, Riverside Theater and Fiserv Forum to name a few. Good luck”

“I think I liked this hotel :) The staff was really nice, I especially appreciate the valet for putting up with me and my boyfriend being in and out like 6 times a day (pretty late some nights) for Anime Milwaukee. Our toilet was a little bit janky and my pillowcase had stains on it, but it seemed nice enough besides that. I was able to log into Netflix on the TV and the AC/heat was nice and easy to use. I saw the parade from my room over the weekend which was pretty sick. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to light sleepers though, the street traffic and doors slamming kept waking me up at night/early in the morning, they do offer earplugs and whitenoise machines though. My room didn't have a DND sign that I could find, but housekeeping knocked and waited for an answer luckily. My biggest qualm was that the pool was closed, which I didn't see anywhere before I booked my stay :( On the opposite end, I liked that they had a vegan breakfast option! I very much appreciated that. Overall, an alright place to stay, it was pretty cheap compared to other hotels I was looking into.”

“Attended the Fever concert and stayed at the Hilton. Wonderful experience. Loved the feel of a downtown hotel and the concert was great. Happy to support local musicians.”
“This hotel is an absolute gem! The recently remodeled rooms are stunning, featuring a beautiful crystal light fixture that adds a touch of luxury. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and my friend and I felt truly pampered. The hotel's immaculate cleanliness and attention to detail were evident throughout our stay.
The staff was exceptional—incredibly kind, courteous, and always willing to help. They were also very informative, and it was clear they genuinely cared about our experience. The location is perfect for anyone attending a show at The Rave; it's just a short and convenient walk away.
We were also impressed by the complimentary continental breakfast. The selection was fantastic, with delicious Starbucks breakfast sandwiches, Krispy Kreme donuts, and a variety of grab-and-go options. The staff even checked in to see if we needed anything while we were getting coffee, which was a lovely, personal touch.
We highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely be returning on our next visit”
“Conveniently located, friendly reception staff amd very responsive to needs. My first night was cold due to a bad functioning heat/ac unit. When I mentioned it, they had actually replaced the whole unit while I was out at my conference. Thank you!Safety: I felt very safe while here.Food & drinks: Plenty of food choices nearby.Noteworthy details: Near Mt Mary College;Close to interstate and main thoroughfares.”
“I recently stayed here for several weeks during a business trip and had a fantastic experience. The staff is exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The location is perfect, with a variety of great restaurants within walking distance. One standout feature is the well-equipped kitchen area on each floor—it's a game-changer if you prefer preparing your own meals while traveling. Highly recommended for long-term stays!”
