“Can't wait to stay here again! What a great concept that I wish was available in more cities. All the comforts of home in a modern luxury hotel feel. Incredibly clean, quiet, friendly staff, and very secure building. Great location in downtown Milwaukee, we walked everywhere.”

“The hotel was clean. Everyone was nice and professional and went above and beyond. The rooms were gorgeous and creative. I recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.Micheal at the front desk was fantastic and very friendly. The general manager Dana went above and beyond when she heard my story on why I was traveling and helped me get my phone back that I forgot I the room.”

“This was by far the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff here was extremely helpful and extremely nice! Like creepy kind of nice, like in a scary movie, but I'm from Chicago, and it might just be the people of Milwaukee kinda nice. I remember back in the 90s, we had a really good basketball dynasty, and I think Chicago people use to be this kind of nice, because they were happy. The Pfister brought me back to those happier days! Also, Google, P fister, with care, PG settings.Rooms: The new rooms are so dope!Food & drinks: The bartenders downstairs are great, friendly (even when busy) and im going to miss them in the lobby bar (I've got a bit of a drinking problem maybe) The food I had was amazing, and I never even got to check out Blue, at the top of the hotel.”

“We loved everything about this place. From our amazing room that was very clean to being able to walk around the whole place and explore. It was Halloween weekend so we did a bit of ghost hunting. Enjoyed hanging out in the bar area with our own drinks(bar wasn't open when we where there). Fun staying in a piece of Milwaukee history. Thanks Dubbel Dutch. Def will stay again.”

“The Kimpton Journeyman provided a centrally located hotel for a quick weekend trip to Milwaukee and one that was exceptionally clean, updated and staffed with friendly and professional team members.Room 333 was spacious, generally quiet, and well furnished and decorated. The bathroom was clean and had excellent water pressure. Towels and toiletries well stocked.Service was friendly without being overbearing. Check in was quick and informative with the front desk staff briefly sharing information about the hotel amenities and services. The valet/bellhop team always offered a friendly greeting. As with other IHG properties, any needs were quickly addressed if I sent a text to the front desk.Coffee in the AM and wine and beer in the PM were offered in the cozy lobby, which features a pool table, two gas fire places, and plenty of comfortable sitting options and areas. The onsite restaurant adjacent to the lobby and the rooftop bar, neither of which I tried, appeared nice. During a ride share trip, the driver had good things to say about the rooftop bar.The location of the hotel, in the Third Ward, provided for many coffee spots, restaurants and upscale shopping options. One star was subtracted from this review for the room not being cleaned or attended to on the second night of my stay. This, unfortunately, occurred despite the fact that I had checked in with the front desk to make sure housekeeping was happening daily (post-COVID precaution I now take) on two separate occasions. The staff were apologetic when this was brought to their attention and that was appreciated.Stay details: March 8-11, 2024. Adult male couple. IHG Gold status. Weekend trip.”

“We hosted a bridal shower here and decided to come through prior to our event to stay in the hotel. The hotel decor is fantastic, upscale, edgy, clean and staff that are so friendly, from our valet Aleks to the folks at the check in desk. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel which had an exceptional menu and everything we had was delicious. We had a massage at the hotel the next morning and then proceeded to have our bridal shower festivities the following day. I cannot commend Ann Marie, Emma and the staff there enough. They planned the event for us to a tee and were super communicative and responsive. I made a major mix up with our dates and put us down for the wrong date (completely my fault) and the team could not have been more responsive or accommodating. They completely flipped the event to the following day and did not even one time make me feel like it was a hardship even though I am positive it resulted in a lot of rework for them. Ann Marie and Emma both in particular were so wonderful in the communication, always positive and complete professionals who made this event remarkable. I could not be more grateful and could not recommend this location any more highly!!The hotel itself is beautiful, very well kept and clean and is dog friendly. I would absolutely come back to stay even not for a special event.”

“Wow! What an awesome hotel. Honestly it was so refreshing staying in a hotel and having amazing service, that was clean, and the restaurant was delicious. The Westin is centrally located and has great Spothero parking nearby as well. We only stayed for a quick overnight but I would absolutely be coming back and I have recommended the hotel to all my friends who have visited the area. We went for breakfast in the morning and it was delicious! Great location!”

“My stay was great. Short walk to the Fiserv arena. They put a lot of money into restoring the brewery and making rooms, so I didn't mind the cost. The room I had was clean and perfect. It even had a small kitchen that I used. TV in the room could have been bigger to watch the college basketball championship game. They should have made the beds every day and not by request since the room was pricey. Also, they should mention that there is free street parking a couple blocks towards the left if you are on a budget and want to avoid the forty dollar valet fee and the twenty dollar parking garage fee. The restaurant next door was useless to me because it was never open when I needed it. Never heard of a restaurant that serves dinner that closes at 8 PM on a weekend.”

“Great location, renovated rooms, super clean. Highly recommend. Great staff, easy check in and out. Parking was in back and perfect for a large vehicle. Perfect location. Loved the breakfast downstairs. Highly recommend.”

“I stayed in the room with a separate bath. Really spacious, clean and nicely furnished with lots of storage space. Comfortable bed. Only complaint is that the comforter was paper thin. If you stay in the winter ask for an extra comforter when you check in. Great value for about $200.”

“Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were good quality, clean, and a good size. They did a wonderful job on the breakfast meals and their dining area for the meals is fantastic. Very nice looking hotel. Definitely check it out.”

“Can't recommend this hotel enough. I actually just came back from my trip. My family of 3 stayed there a couple nights ago. First of all the hotel is beautiful: exterior and interior. Our room (we stayed in the king + pull out sofa) has high ceiling and the herring bone wooden floor. The location is the icing on the cupcake. I wished I could have stayed longer in this hotel and Milwaukee. The only complaint we has was the pull out bed was super uncomfortable. You could almost see /feel the spring through the sheets. Other than that I definately recommend this hotel.”

“Our stay here in Milwaukee was very nice overall! The breakfast was great and the beds and shower were very nice! The only downside is that with all the lights on in the hotel room, it is still pretty dark. There has to be an improvement on that aspect. Again, overall this hotel was very nice overall and we’ll stay again!Safety: Very safe area around the hotel. Not a high crime rate at all.”

“Noteworthy details: The check-in person and the manager worked together to solve a small check-in glitch. If I could give them a rate of 10, I would. They were informed, gracious, and served us with sincerity and a great sense of humor. I could not be more pleased with our stay. Our room was clean and I loved that they have a water bottle filling station, so I didn't have to purchase plastic bottles. The restaurant in the basement was handy and tasty.”

“A bit disappointing. The beds were horrible. It is like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. We checked in the evening, not much effort was made to explain, shuttle, parking, and breakfast location/hours. When you walk in and the clerk is kicked back with feet up on a counter, not impressed. The breakfast itself along with the morning staff was great. I can't say I would park and fly from here again.”

“Honestly one of the worst decisions of my life to stay at this hotel. Me and my husband were there last night and now I have bug bites all over my hands and feet. I’m miserable right now. The person I talked to on the phone didn’t care at all. She gave me attitude the whole time. Do not stay ”

“Great service for early and late airport arrivals. The shuttle was there in no time. Car was safe for our week long trip and the breakfast is actually awesome. Rooms are clean. Nothing super fancy but great for an airport ”

“I've been staying at the Riverfront Holiday Inn for several months and I enjoy the good service and friendly staff. Angela, the hotel manager is always accommodating and helpful if I ever have concerns. I like hotel living and this is the place to be for business or recreation. The view of the Milwaukee River is superb and I would recommend this hotel for anyone planning a visit to Milwaukee. Photo included was taken by me.Rooms: Half of the hotel rooms overlook the river.”

“I think I liked this hotel :) The staff was really nice, I especially appreciate the valet for putting up with me and my boyfriend being in and out like 6 times a day (pretty late some nights) for Anime Milwaukee. Our toilet was a little bit janky and my pillowcase had stains on it, but it seemed nice enough besides that. I was able to log into Netflix on the TV and the AC/heat was nice and easy to use. I saw the parade from my room over the weekend which was pretty sick. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to light sleepers though, the street traffic and doors slamming kept waking me up at night/early in the morning, they do offer earplugs and whitenoise machines though. My room didn't have a DND sign that I could find, but housekeeping knocked and waited for an answer luckily. My biggest qualm was that the pool was closed, which I didn't see anywhere before I booked my stay :( On the opposite end, I liked that they had a vegan breakfast option! I very much appreciated that. Overall, an alright place to stay, it was pretty cheap compared to other hotels I was looking into.”

“Good experience overall if you are itching for some gambling action in the city of Milwaukee. With the addition of sports betting and poker to make a return there is something for everyone's gambling preference. There are several options for food on premise and plenty of other food options in the area. Close to public transportation for out of townees. Would recommend pairing a weekend when there is some live entertainment in town at the many venues, Riverside Theater and Fiserv Forum to name a few. Good luck”

“I don't usually review a place before I've settled in but here we go...In short, I don't like it. It's my fault that I chose a hotel that was not on the preferred list but the hotel I love was full and the others were significantly more than normal. Me being a good financial steward went for the lower cost. I looked online using the travel tool and they had great pictures. The pictures they show are of their suits which looked okay. So I arrive and I'm in a basic room. Damn, this was not what I was expecting. Walking in through the lobby I was like oh this is nice! Then I walk into this Motel 6 level room that is sweltering hot from the ancient furnace being cranked up to hell. It's not going to cool off anytime soon so I figure out how to turn the thing off (I think), crank the window ac unit and open the window. A cold compress and now my core temp is back to normal. Ugh. Do they expect anyone to actually work in this dark dungeon nook for an office space ? And if you turn sideways you can walk through the bathroom which only takes about 1 step from the door to the backside of the tub. Why is the carpet so dirty? Like they haven't shampooed the carpet in 2 years. Ugh. Well now I know. I travel here a lot but this will be the only time I stay at this place. I'd ask for another room but it's probably not reasonable to expect it's better than this if they can't get this one right. At least the lobby is nice. One star for that. There are so many other nice hotels in Milwaukee, give one of those a try because this one my friend is not one of them. Ugh 6 more days. One star.4 hrs later....Okay so remember I opened the window and cranked the AC. I decided to go get some dinner at an amazing place (I'll tell you all about that later) while the room cooled down. I return and the place is still hot. I cranked the furnace to off like they told me but that thing just kept on cooking! I returned to a room that is still warm, and I can't sleep with the window wide open. So I call the front desk to figure out how to get the furnace to turn off. The guy says don't worry about it, we will put you in a cooler room that's a little larger. Like that they just made it right, without me even asking. Now I'm in a jr suit (I think )and it's much nicer. Is it the best suit I've ever stayed in nope, but it's what I expected when I booked here. I really like the space and it has plenty of character. I found myself talking about the next time I stay here which reminded me to update this review. +2 stars for the better room, +1 more star for the amazing service. Thank you!”

“Next To The Freeway* Industrial Area w/ Shopping and Decent Restaurants Nearby* Sit-In Dining Area In The Lobby* Safe For A Solo Traveler* I grew up 3 miles from this location. I'm comfortable with this side of town becuz my family still live nearby and I have not seen random people wandering, nor begging. You DO get the "Hampton Inn Luxury feel" but this location does need a bit of updating to the "small details" of the room, and the landscaping. Small Fridge & Microwave in Rooms. Very Friendly Staff. Pool. Gym. ATM. Free Breakfast.Nearby activities: -15 Minutes From Downtown Milwaukee or Brown Deer Park.-10 Minutes From Wauwatosa Mall or Glendale Mall.Walkability: Restaurants & Shopping Plaza NearbyFood & drinks: Free Hilton Honors Snack Bag. “1ST room had a foul stench like rotting garbage, room 2 same thing. Room 3 smelled ok but after putting my bags in room noticed how filthy the room was. Stuffed chair was so dirty it was grey but originally tan. I have given better furniture to the restore. Carpet sticky, hadnt been vacumed in a very long time. Mold and dirt all over tub. Glass window looked like someone spit on it then rubbed it around. Bathroom door looked like milk was spilled on it. Curtains were partially hanging off the rod, holes in walls and missing paint. If it wouldnt have been so late at check in I would have left. Room was so dark with every light on it felt like a dungeon. Anyone who gave this hotel a 3, 4 or 5 rating is a fraud. Front Desk and front hallway is sparkling clean, but the rooms are trashed and the filthiest I have seen.”
