“3rd time coming back. Always better every time. Will definitely come back again. Oh yeah bring back the muffins or whatever that was in the morning my first two experiences staying. There was nothing this time.”

“I left with tears of joy and a bag of gummy bears. It does not get better than that! My sleep was terrific. The soap/shampoo left me feeling awesome. (It was better than my go-to wash I brought. And I got to practice ukulele. My exit started with an elevator ride with the most lovely of lovely head bellmen, (Whom I'm remembering also helped me when I arrived navigate an easy path to work.) He then instructed his valet with the most respect and kindness. I checked out at the front desk. A lady with shorter red hair and a dark-haired gentleman were so kind, intuitive, and welcoming it brought me to tears. I was struck by the interaction and their warmth. (So, now I'm in tears...and needed to take a second to take it all in and appreciate the moment.) When I walked outside, I was super surprised to see the valet was still at my drivers' door ready to help me into my truck. He made sure I had everything I needed. This service was crazy for the room rate. I will be traveling back with my husband.”

“Great service from the front desk, restaurant and cleaning. The Westin continues to live up to their standards for a great sleep experience. My only feedback is that parts of the hotel seemed dated. I’ve noticed in general lately that Marriott does not seem to be investing as much into their existing properties.”

“We try to go to MKE 1-2 times a year, and this was our first stay at Iron Horse. Really loved this hotel. Rooms are cool and beds are super comfortable. Outdoor bar area is a great hang. The Historic Third Ward is a short walk away.
We look forward to future stays here!
Valet Parking is convenient, friendly and fairly priced, HOWEVER the company used (PMC) seems to have text billing issues as I keep getting new charges texted to me and are accumulating a few days after checkout They don't have a customer service number to call to stop them. Ignoring, for now.”

“We stayed at BrewHouse Inn & Suites for our entire wedding weekend and reserved a block for our guests - we couldn’t have been happier with the experience! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, beautifully blending historic charm with exposed brick accents that give everything a warm, timeless feel. One of the standout features was the stunning Copper Kettle Atrium, where we hosted our cocktail hour and took some of our favorite wedding day photos—it’s such a unique and unforgettable space. Every part of the team—from the friendly front desk staff to the attentive event coordinators, catering, and bartenders—went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. Their professionalism and genuine care made our wedding weekend truly special and stress-free.”

“My family and I stayed here for my wedding weekend, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, within walking distance to a variety of excellent restaurants, making it convenient for all our family. Each room had its own unique character and charm, reflecting the rich history of the building. The attention to detail in restoring this historical gem is remarkable. I highly recommend it to anyone who values historical preservation and wants a stay with both comfort and charm.”

“Nice hotel in downtown Milwaukee area that is getting updated!

Nearby activities: Close to several music venues is what I went for.

Safety: I felt very safe. Wasn't very many people out Thanksgiving eve.”

“Food and drinks: I didn’t stay at the hotel but I went to their bar. Love! Love! Love! The atmosphere. It was a scene of ppl actually talking to one another and not on their phones. The drinks are a bit pricey but the experience is worth it!”

“I had a 2 nite stay in a standard room. Highlights for me include the location and the service. While it’s not right in downtown, it’s across from the Juneau Beer Garden, a block away from Monica’s and County Clare, 4 blocks from a convenience store, 1/4 mile from Cathedral Square Park, has an adjoining bar/restaurant, and is a 6-7 minute drive to downtown.

The service was the real highlight for me. I had some issues with my room- smells, entry, accessibility, etc. The staff did everything to try to resolve my issues. Even though not everything could be resolved, I still was able to enjoy my stay.

The bed was very comfortable - not too soft or firm but nicely supportive, has a kitchenette stocked with glasses and dishware, large closet spaces, actually good bathroom towels that aren’t stiff and starchy, and a lot of great movie channels on Direct TV on which I enjoyed several movies at night.

A few things to remember-
-It is an older building so accessibility for non-ambulatory wheelchair users may not be an option.
-The drains are a bit slow and the water pressure is soft. There are no grab bars anywhere in the bathroom.
-The toilet is on the smaller size
-There’s no central ac, but there is a window AC. Mine worked great however it was noisy and had seen better days.

The lighting is fine. The usual modern bedside lamps with outlets attached, and wall lighting fixtures that work and seem to be originals.
Giant closets in my room, great for storing a mobility aid or lots of clothes and belongings.

The lobby and grounds are pretty grand and beautiful. There’s a little sitting room with vending, ice, and coffee for purchase. I was glad to be able to buy a few bottles of water for my room.

Accessibility in and out of the hotel is great, equipped well with working automatic doors and lots of space.

Lastly, security is great. The front entry is only accessible with your room key (real keys by the way!) at night/after hours. There no other way to get in to the building for guests other than there, or the restaurant which closes early-ish.

I could hear seagulls outside in the morning and occasional doors closing and some talking. Other than that it was quiet.

If you don’t mind/are able to sacrifice a few small modern comforts in exchange for a beautiful historic building and attentive, caring staff, I would recommend Knickerbocker!”

“Syreeta at the front desk was AMAZING. Customer service was top notch and she was very kind to me. Anything I needed she was able to provide. She has a very positive attitude and she made me feel welcome at the hotel. The hotel itself is in a great location and the room was very nice.”

“I stayed in the room with a separate bath. Really spacious, clean and nicely furnished with lots of storage space. Comfortable bed. Only complaint is that the comforter was paper thin. If you stay in the winter ask for an extra comforter when you check in. Great value for about $200.”

“Our swim club stays at the Four Points every November and we had a great stay a few weeks ago. Last year things weren't as good as they could have been but this year they really stepped it up and it was a night and day difference. The Manager Alex was great as was the Assistant Manager Millard. They went above and beyond to make sure our group was well taken care of and comfortable. The rooms are always nice and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. We will for sure be back! Thanks Four Points!”

“Great free shuttle to and from MKE- just call them and they come within minutes to the shuttle pick up point right outside airport. Hotel is clean and well cared for. Room is comfortable and very low outside noise (typical AC noise). Breakfast is very well stocked with food and even has real plates. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great experience.”

“We were initially put here due to a flight diversion. The hotel is clean. Breakfast is OK but there is a Night Shift person Courtney, who was absolutely amazing. Provided the best customer service we had had all day.!!! Courtney absolutely deserves a raise!”

“Everything was very clean and refreshed when we checked in, and the guy at the counter was amiable and chill. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub with other guests and it was quiet, everything was in service. We had a tub which I appreciate after combing through lots of hotels in the area that only had showers (it is one of our must-haves!) You can hear the airport, but hey it's the big city. And it's nestled a few blocks away from big traffic, so the noise isn't right at your door. Will come back again when visiting MKE :)Rooms: It is nice to have a tabletop TV. My partner has poor eyesight and can't really see the smaller wall mounted TVs that hotels typically have. Everything is pretty standard for a hotel In this price range which is comforting and no surprises.”

“Short review: Staff was incredibly attentive and kind, even close to midnight, when we requested more towels. The room itself was quite outdated and ours specifically had a bad smell. The hot tub, which many people come here for, was closed the entire duration we were here, which was the primary reason for choosing this hotel. Happy with the staff and attention to customers, the upkeep of the general hotel and rooms needs to be better.

Long review: The hotel was definitely outdated, with the elevator being quite small and carpet being installed on the floors, which is problem in the long run, especially it not being industrial grade, so it gets soiled easier and faster. There was a bad odor definitely coming from the carpet, as we had thought it came from the AC unit/filter, but after the staff cleaned the air filter and checked out the unit itself, it became clear that the smell was from the carpet. We thankfully had strong perfume on us to spray; otherwise the moldy/mildew-y smell would've been unbearable. The upkeep of the furniture was bad, as the chair in our room had many stains. The wall underneath our sink was very haphazardly covered up and made us uncomfortable overall, as bugs naturally like to stay within the walls of any building. The first night, both the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance, and staff said both would be open the next day. The next day, the pool was open but the hot tub was not, which was incredibly disappointing as we specifically chose this location for the hot tub. It does seem like this entire hotel does need severe renovation.

I do want to note that the staff was INCREDIBLY helpful and kind, as check-in and check-out was easy and quick. The staff were on time each day for room service and when we requested towels at midnight, they got them for us in less than 5 minutes of us calling the front desk. Any questions or concerns we had, they answered them swiftly and did their best to help answer and do as much as they could.

I think Best Western needs to really give this place a look over and invest on the renovations as this hotel is a place people are drawn to for its hot tub and general location. The staff deserves a raise due to how hard they work and how kind they all were as well.”

“Good experience overall if you are itching for some gambling action in the city of Milwaukee. With the addition of sports betting and poker to make a return there is something for everyone's gambling preference. There are several options for food on premise and plenty of other food options in the area. Close to public transportation for out of townees. Would recommend pairing a weekend when there is some live entertainment in town at the many venues, Riverside Theater and Fiserv Forum to name a few. Good luck”

“I think I liked this hotel :) The staff was really nice, I especially appreciate the valet for putting up with me and my boyfriend being in and out like 6 times a day (pretty late some nights) for Anime Milwaukee. Our toilet was a little bit janky and my pillowcase had stains on it, but it seemed nice enough besides that. I was able to log into Netflix on the TV and the AC/heat was nice and easy to use. I saw the parade from my room over the weekend which was pretty sick. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to light sleepers though, the street traffic and doors slamming kept waking me up at night/early in the morning, they do offer earplugs and whitenoise machines though. My room didn't have a DND sign that I could find, but housekeeping knocked and waited for an answer luckily. My biggest qualm was that the pool was closed, which I didn't see anywhere before I booked my stay :( On the opposite end, I liked that they had a vegan breakfast option! I very much appreciated that. Overall, an alright place to stay, it was pretty cheap compared to other hotels I was looking into.”

“This hotel is an absolute gem! The recently remodeled rooms are stunning, featuring a beautiful crystal light fixture that adds a touch of luxury. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and my friend and I felt truly pampered. The hotel's immaculate cleanliness and attention to detail were evident throughout our stay.

The staff was exceptional—incredibly kind, courteous, and always willing to help. They were also very informative, and it was clear they genuinely cared about our experience. The location is perfect for anyone attending a show at The Rave; it's just a short and convenient walk away.

We were also impressed by the complimentary continental breakfast. The selection was fantastic, with delicious Starbucks breakfast sandwiches, Krispy Kreme donuts, and a variety of grab-and-go options. The staff even checked in to see if we needed anything while we were getting coffee, which was a lovely, personal touch.

We highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely be returning on our next visit”
