“I visited with my team to discuss how we can help fundraise/volunteer, and walking into that building was like being transported to another world! I realized I hadn’t seen a children’s book in 20 years and it was so euphoric to see how they’d evolved to be so inclusive and diverse in so many ways. It’s amazing to see an organization that intentionally curates a selection that will inspire children from all walks of life. I am astounded by the energy and passion from every member I met, and I look forward to helping the cause in any ways I can!”

“Fantastic nature center that cares so deeply for the land and people. They model Aldo's land ethic and have phenomenal programming for all ages. The trails are well maintained and there is a variety of ecosystems. This is such a treasure in the Madison area.I always enjoy how friendly and caring the staff are and their passion and enthusiasm for what they do is so obvious.”

“Great experience!! I signed up for a build-a-bike class but when I showed up they didn’t have a frame ready to build that would suit my needs, but they did have a newly tuned up bike that WAS exactly what I was looking for and was a very reasonable $200 and it even came with a front basket already installed. I am very happy with my experience at Freewheel and will recommend to all my friends! The guy working was very helpful and friendly!”

“This store is kept clean and organized. Variety is well balanced. Pricing is fair and items are restocked consistently. Employees are friendly and management is engaged. Parking is usually easy and close too the entrance. Overall one of the best goodwill locations I've shopped.”

“I have gone to this place ever since I was 6 years old and I have to say that I kinda do not see any difference. I feel like they have downsize or just the same, even with the updates they have done. Comparing most YMCA in Dane county area to smaller towns, you would expect a big city like Madison to have more and provide more but unfortunately it is not the case. The pool is cold even if the water temperature is hot/warm because the fans above the ceilings are so strong and you can feel the fans more than the hot/warm water. I witnessed so many kids shivering and shaking badly just like mine. I really do hope atleast one YMCA in the Dane county would do more update if possible.”

“We held my 7 year old's birthday party at the Arts Center and had a fantastic experience. They designed a custom art activity based on my child's interests and age. The instructor was fantastic leading the kids through the activity (and keeping my lone 4year old busy). Parents were able to drop off their kids and get an 1 to 1 1/2 to themselves, and the Center even provided a small gift bag for my child.Best of all was the way they handled a the eventual rescheduling of our party due to weather. When a snow storm was predicted, we kept in close communication about if we would need to reschedule the party and they were very flexible in helping us find a new date and time for her party.I can't recommend Monroe St. Arts Center enough!”

“It's a nice store and most employees are nice. I found three things I wanted to buy, but they didn't have price tags. Cashier told me she couldn't sell them to me. Please make sure everything is priced or allow the Manager to put a price on it. Thanks.”

“DRW is an outstanding organization. I am incredibly grateful for the services and resources they provide to individuals with disabilities. While the response time is long, the care and attention to your case is not. Intake is thorough and staff genuinely care.”
