“I found a camper on Craigslist posted at this dealer. Living 3 hours away, I callled and asked for more details. The salesman was extremely honest upfront, and disclosed that they had found more wear and tear than they initially saw when it was posted. He offered to send me some pics of these areas, and told me they were willing to take $1500 less than the advertised price. The next day he sent me the pics, with descriptions of said areas. I replied that I’d like to come down the next day and check it out, but didn’t wanna waste a drive if the there was a possibility it would be sold. He agreed to mark it pending, and we set a time for me to check it out.
Upon arriving, he showed me to the unit, gave me a general tour and asked if I’d like a ladder to check out the roof, and said we could pulled it up to the building and check out the electrical and water setups, to see if everything worked. I was being very particular, and spent 3 hours checking it out, as my last camper purchase, ended up being a complete piece of junk. During this time, he checked back with me a couple times, but wasn’t being pushy at all. We then checked out the utilities on the camper, and I finally closed the deal.
All said and done, I can tell you I haven’t bought a vehicle, Harley, or any other recreational toy from a dealer in over 17 years. I’m a private party kind of guy.
That being said, this was a very easy and personable transaction, with no high pressure, lie filled propaganda.

The rear windshield wiper was missing, but I took delivery of it anyway with his promise that it was ordered and its way. Sure enough, a few days later they called and let me know it was in.
