It’s such a relaxed, welcoming spot to hang out, especially when the weather’s nice. The atmosphere has that perfect mix of laid-back and lively, making it easy to settle in and stay awhile.
One of the best parts is that dogs are allowed outside, which is a huge plus for anyone who likes bringing their pup along. The outdoor space is very well maintained—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully set up so you don’t feel crowded. It’s clear they take pride in keeping everything looking nice and comfortable for guests.
The staff has always been friendly and easygoing, adding to the overall good vibe of the place. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink, meeting up with friends, or just looking for a chill place to unwind, this spot consistently delivers. 10678 N Bay Shore Dr Building #2, Sister BayHad the joy of tasting one of the best cups of coffee I ever had (Black Velvet Special) and also had really great service and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The raspberry danish was also delish and while the bagel Sandwhich wasn’t anything special it was still good too. I’m sad this place is 3 hours from where I live but will definitely be going back tomorrow before leaving town.

10339 WI-57, Sister BayThis is our favorite place for dinner in Door County. We come every year when we visit. And for the last three years we had the same waitress- Jessica! She is amazing - very friendly and provides great service. I love their hand crafted dishes. The vibe is so cozy. When it’s warmer, the outdoor area is the place to sit. We came up before peak season so it wasn’t too packed. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for the table leaving to pay and then have them turn it over. This trip we had the smoked whitefish dip starter, my husband got a wedge salad and NY Strip dinner. I got the General Tso’s chicken. The amount of vegetables in this dish was stunning. The flavors were perfect and it felt light. I could eat it weekly! For dessert we tried the olive oil cake with lemon curd and fresh raspberry drizzle. OMG - yum! If you have not eaten at Thyme, you are missing out. The menu changes year to year - though they keep some constants (like the cheese curds and lemon tortellini with sausage which are both amazing by the way!). I have never had a dish that I did not like. If they have the whitefish chowder - GET IT! It was the best soup I had ever eaten!! I didn’t get it this year and I regret it.

Wild Tomato Wood-Fired Pizza & Grille Sister Bay
10677 N Bay Shore Dr, Sister BayAmazing!! They accommodated my food allergies and it was the best pizza I’ve ever had! A must stop if you are you in Door County! Our waiter Hans was so awesome in recommending our selections! It was also fun to see the chef making and tossing the dough. The wood fire ovens were out in the open so you could see them cooking. What a great experience!
