“I thoroughly enjoyed the Grand Tour of the house. I installed and followed the tour on the app and read all the signage on the well structured tour. It is self-guided, but there are numerous knowledgable docents scattered throughout the house to answer questions.
I hope to visit again in Spring/Summer to see the gardens.”

“We loved this hotel so much. The room was clean. Very comfy bed with lots of pillows. Couch was comfy. Plenty of space and a gorgeous view. The hot tub and sauna were really nice, I wish the pool was a little deeper than 4 feet but it was okay. They had decent breakfast, a cute cocktail lounge that’s reasonably priced with okay food, a free s’mores bar in the evening. Customer service was so wonderful every single person we talked to was so nice.”
“We got married at the Garden in December and we're so happy with our choice of venue! It was perfect for our size of wedding (we had ~240 guests), we decided to keep it simple decor-wise which was easy since they have string lights on the ceilings and brick walls. Elissa and the whole team were super easy to work with and fielded our questions quickly and patiently as we neared the event. It's also in a central location with several hotels walking-distance away and the lake + lift bridge right next door (perfect for photos). We received so many positive comments from guests about the space. Also we went buffet-style with the food and it was delicious!”

Our son and his fiancée held their June 2025 wedding ceremony and reception at the AAD Shrine Event Center and it exceeded everyone’s expectations! Jessica from the AAD Shrine Office met with the bride and groom in the months leading up to their big day to find out what they wanted as far as decor, set-up, bar availability, etc., and was even able to share caterer options with them.
Jessica is a gem to work with. She answered all of our questions, offered creative and beautiful ideas for the wedding and reception, had prompt and friendly communications back & forth with us, and by the time wedding day rolled around, Jessica felt more like a friend than a wedding organizer. She went above and beyond and the talents she shared made the wedding a perfect experience! FIVE STARS!

“The staff were very helpful and our room was clean and spacious. We especially liked the Dove brand products in the bathroom. The location was excellent for accessing Duluth, despite the road construction, and the price was perfect.”
