“Person I checked in with, her name is Natalie. And she did not acknowledge that I was a diamond. She did not offer me any water. I had to ask for it. And she really seemed like she had an attitude and did not want to be there. Otherwise I've never had a problem at this location”

“We had booked through a 3rd party that we discovered botched the original reservation. Staff at the hotel let us know of the error, but went the extra mile to make the reservation work for our large group. We really appreciated all the time and effort to make it work! Hotel itself was very nice - everything was clean and up to date. The location was great for walking around Superior and also within great proximity to Duluth.”
“This hotel is over 100 years old and it definitely shows, bathrooms are tiny, but that’s the least of my worries. I don’t know how much time people really need to spend in bathrooms these days.
The rooms are going to be typically smaller as the initial layout from 100 years ago has not changed.
Do not go to this place expecting high class quality, you are paying for an experience of being in 100 year-old hotel.
The room keys are legitimate keys that you have to put into a lock and turn so that was kind of unique. They still have the hundred year-old male drop system all the way from the top floor down to the main floor, which is still actively collected every day that was pretty cool.
Don’t expect a lot of amenities, but again it’s a hotel who’s spending their entire vacation in the hotel room. We had a king size bedroom. Bed was incredibly comfortable.
The only big complaint is that these are still the original wood framed windows and they don’t block any sound. We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend and it was to be expected to hear a lot of banging and noises and I’m not complaining about that.
But the windows definitely could be tore out and upgraded, and I personally think that would be a huge upgrade to all the rooms.”

“One of THE nicest Quality Inns I have stayed at (and there have been many). I arrived after riding all day, in rain, by motorcycle and was cold and soaked. I was overjoyed to see the jacuzzi. Beds were very comfortable and room had a large modern TV. In fact the whole place seemed recently updated and was spotless. Best stay I've had in a while!”
“Price right. University of Wisconsin - Superior 1971 - 1973 now 2024. Student coming home and another student is greeter at New China where I did take out. Walmart quite a ways and bigger than Medford's”
“Had a nice stay on a Saturday night. A decent value for what you get. Especially when you consider pricing in Duluth. Pool area was busy but not unexpected for a Saturday. Breakfast was good. Certainly better then other hotels we have stayed at of similar status. Close enough to hit the local spots both in Superior and Duluth. Parking was good and entry doors around the building made it convenient to get to your room. Definitely budget friendly and would recommend if traveling in the area.”

“We thought this place was a gem! Relaxing atmosphere, great location, food in the restaurant/bar was amazing! Julie was our bartender and was very friendly! Perfect Bloody Mary's and the homemade pretzel was outstanding! Rooms clean and old school Air Conditioner ran perfect. Yes, bathroom fan was really loud, but no biggie. We look forward to coming back!”

“This was a very clean and cozy motel room. It was small but definitely comfortable. It was exactly like a motel should be where you can back right up to your room which makes packing up and unpacking super easy. The room was so cozy and the bathroom was nice. It wasn’t too far from downtown Duluth. We were very happy with our stay there.
