The one drawback has to do with the town of Freistadt itself. It's a lovely intersection with a hardware store, church and its campus, a grade school, and some nearby nature areas. Except for the hardware store, the only other establishment open to the public is a local bar that opens at 11:30. If you drop off a car early at Freistadt Auto or if there is a scheduling delay and you don't have a ride back home, it's very awkward to be walking along the street just the other side of an active grammar school, waiting for 11:30 as locals are hyper-sensitive, and rightly so, especially with strangers. Everyone seems to know everyone and are very suspicious of others. Definitely small-town feeling. Plan ahead to have a ride home as waiting in the waiting room is not too realistic for more than say an hour. One of the employees gave me a ride home during my first visit. Plan accordingly.”
“I had my daughters 2008 Honda Civic towed in. Adam (one of the owners) was there with me an out of town conerned father who didn’t want his daughter being taken advantage of by a mechanic. Adam was there with me most polite and thorough voice of automotove knowledge. He broke down the diagnosis and price of the job. He steered me away from parts not needed. In this day and age it’s really comforting to finally find a automotive shop with integrity, trustworthy and honest. You have gained a customer for life. Thank you for the positive experience. “Had a great experience with this Goodyear Commercial Tire shop in Butler. Mark and Luke were extremely helpful over the phone and took the time to walk through the considerations involved in upgrading my dump truck steer tires from 11R24.5 to a wide-base flotation setup. I brought in new wheels and they mounted and installed the Cooper steer tires without issue. The shop team also helped load my old wheels and tires back into the truck when finished. Knowledgeable, straightforward, and easy to work with. I’d definitely use them again.”

“Biggest surprise to find Dennis and Car Maid since moving to Cedarburg. Another repair shop referred me to Car Maid when I had a rusted/broken exhaust pipe next to the converter. At first, I was downcast when owner Dennis said he was booked up for 3 weeks. However, if I showed up early the next day, he might be able to fix it depending on the condition of the pipe. Bottom line: Dennis fixed it in 40 mts for $120. I am now a loyal customer.”

“Dave Campbell has been in the car sales business for many years; my interactions with him have always been very cordial, and if I were in the market for a quality used vehicle for myself or a friend or family member I’d certainly give them a chance to earn my business.
On a personal level; Dave’s brother Scott has had his own import car repair business for many years; and after his former location lost its lease he recently set up his repair shop at Campbell’s Auto Sport in Cedarburg. I typically drive older import vehicles, and recently took our newly acquired 1977 Mercedes Benz 450 sel sedan to Scott for some work; which he completed quickly and to perfection; already knowing based on my description of the car’s issue exactly what the problem likely was. He repaired it quickly at a cost I was VERY pleased with; he has the kind of knowledge and experience working on these vintage import vehicles that has now become almost impossible to find. I’m pretty sure if I had foolishly taken the car to an MB dealer they would have told me “your car likely needs a new or rebuilt transmission; that will cost ‘x’ thousand dollars”. They of course are also highly competent working on more common and newer vehicles. I can highly recommend Campbell’s Auto and Sport based on my personal experiences.”
“I had a problem today and unfortunately my car ended up partially in a ditch. I checked for the closest service station (I live in the Milwaukee area) and Silver Spray came up. My luck changed and Chris came to my rescue! He showed up quickly, didn’t laugh at me, and hooked my car up and, in minutes, had me back on the road. And then he wouldn’t even take a tip. He said we all need to treat each other fairly. He definitely brightened my day with his excellent service. Thanks, Chris.”
